Bingus is a handsome guy weighing in at 17 1/2 pounds. He is sweet and likes to be petted and enjoys his food. His previous owners are in the service and they were reluctant to leave but Uncle Sam said no!! If you would like to see him we are open Mon and wed 9-11 and Fri 1-3. Or all and ask for an appointment

And then there two! These two sweeties were not picked in our foster to adopt plan and their 3 siblings are all in loving new home! Cricket and Hopper are absolute pure fun. Playing and climbing are favorite pastimes and they love toys. Actually want them to find a home or homes soon so they can grow up in a family. Come by and meet them and you’ll be hooked or if you don’t have time to make a post here that you’re interested and we’ll make an appointment for you. We’re open 9 to 11 Monday and Wednesday morning and 1 to 3 Friday afternoons or by appointment . you can make ask for an appointment in a comment here.

Unfortunately we are going to have to raise our adoption cost. Vet costs have raised significantly,dog and cat food also higher than ever and utilities for our building are also rising. We have always lost money on every adoption in order to to give the animals we have a chance at a forever home. Spay and neuter alone puts us in the hole then add vaccines,microchips wormer food,insurance property insurance for liability and more .
We operate on donations only. We have no funding from any other source. That is saying a lot for Clay County ! And we appreciate every penny donated.
Adoptions will go from &75.00 to $95.00 for cats. Dogs will raise from 150.00 to 175.00. Young purebreds 200.00.

Mama! She is a beauty! Came into the shelter heavy with babies and delivered them a few days later. She’s been a great mama but she’s about ready to send them out in the world. She still has 2 or 3 weeks of mom duty and then some vet care and she will be up for adoption. If you think you might like a beautiful uniquely marked tortie came by and reserve her now.

Our babies! We are the proud caretakers of five 4 week old kittens born At the shelter ♥️😻! Too young to leave Mama but in 2-3 weeks will be ready for foster to adopt. Come by and pick one out before they are all chosen

Meet Valentina, a sweet grey tiger striped young cat. She is friendly and loves attention. She came to us by drop off, literally a car drove up hurriedly tossed her by our back door and sped off. It was valentine day so hence the name. She has been spayed chipped and wormed. Also ears have been cleaned and she has been flea treated. Stop by and meet her she’s a sweetie!

My kitten Nimbus aka Nimmy is missing from the south end of Flora, near Adams st. She got outlast night around 9pm and I haven’t seen her since. She doesn’t have a collar on cause she won’t keep it on. She is around 6 months old.
