Medea’s doing AMAZING post surgery! Her sutures are officially out, and she’s healing beautifully. Our three-legged girl is available for adoption!

When you see a professional photo of one of our cats online with this iconic filter, just know Brennan is behind the lens and his partner, Katie, is helping stage the shot!

Katie and Brennan started taking photos for us back in 2023, and three years later, they’ve photographed hundreds of our cats. Every adoption inquiry starts with someone seeing a cat online, and we can’t stress enough how crucial these photos are in helping our cats get noticed and, ultimately, finding homes.

We’re so grateful for the time and talent they’ve shared and continue to share with Paws and Claws.

Thank you, Brennan and Katie, for being such an important part of our cats’ journeys!

WHO’S READY TO RALLY!? Rally for Rescues is back for its sixth year! And Fall Fest is back! 🍂

Join us Saturday, October 17 for our much-anticipated, family-friendly, fan-favorite event! Bring your family, gather your friends, and come enjoy an afternoon at Baker Park in Evanston from 12–3pm.

Enjoy pumpkin decorating, carnival games, silent auction and raffle, food and bevvies, live music, crafts, cuddly cats, photo booth, and more! 🎃🌽

Cheddar Bay Biscuit and Red Lobster are moved into the shelter!

Our Volunteer Coordinator, Lydia, has spent the last 117 days fostering them and helping them transform into new cats. We wanted to move them onsite in hopes that more people can meet them and see just how special they are.

Don’t let their scraggly exteriors fool you! They love to play, have plenty of energy, are quirky and leave the staff and volunteers laughing, and can almost always be found curled up together or grooming one another. They’re also comfortable around both cats and dogs, making them pretty wonderful additions to the right home.

Cheddar Bay Biscuit and Red Lobster are two sweet brothers who have spent 14 years together, and we’d love nothing more than to see them spend their golden years in a quiet, loving home. 💙

A month ago, we shared that we were running low on wet food—and our community showed up in a BIG way. 💙

Since then, more than 80 cases of wet food have made their way to our Cat Adoption Center! This incredible pile should keep our cats fed for roughly two months, and we are so, so grateful.

And if you’re wondering how we can make it stretch even further: if you’re able to donate a case of wet food, every can helps us get a little more mileage out of this supply.

With 179 cats in our care, there are a lot of hungry mouths to feed, plus foster families who count on us to provide food for the cats in their homes. Keeping our shelves stocked is a big part of keeping our cats happy, healthy, and cared for.

Our favorite mom and daughter are living their best lives! Pajama (now Noodles) and PJ (now Ramen) waited five long months for someone to see just how special they are—and then Matthew came along.

Now, they’re doing everything together: snuggling, playing, and settling into their new life side by side. It’s everything we could have hoped for these two sweet girls! 💙

Cuddle bug alert! 🥰

Of the 179 cats in our care, 131 are currently living in foster homes. Foster homes give our cats a chance to decompress in a cozy, loving environment while also opening up much-needed space at our Adoption Center for more cats in need.

And clearly, our fosters are getting plenty of cuddles in return. 💙
