February is American Heart Month! 💓 Did you know the heart health of you and your pet go hand-in-hand? When you move together, everyone benefits. Regular walks with your pup (or cat!) can help you reach the 150 minutes of weekly activity the American Heart Association recommends for cardiovascular health. Playing fetch, going on bike rides, grabbing the cat wand, inviting your furry friend to join you on the yoga mat, and making an indoor obstacle course during this cold spell are other ways to get you both moving. Not only can pets help us with physical activity, but they provide companionship and stress relief which can lower blood pressure and cholesterol. It's a bond that keeps on giving!
