From the get-go, I felt like this show was cursed. I screwed up our sanctions(fixed thanks to some help from the satin club), lost a $20 bill, had to forfeit my camping site(cheaper to hotel than haul a trailer with gas at $4.69😭), lost a rabbit, got stuck in traffic, and dealt with heat stress in rabbits on the way up(87 degrees in MN…nuts!).
BUT we made it to the Pine City show in one piece. Had some frustrations but overall had some good laughs with friends. It was nuts showing 5 times in less than 24 hours(total of 10 shows between open and youth) AND in two separate barns.
I had uplifting talks with two open judges about my himis and the direction I’m going with them. I so appreciate your mentorship, especially as someone who is introverted and not always the first to speak up for myself. The “cal” satins are a project of both mine and Donovan’s and to take home two open BOS wins with two separate homegrown himi satins is very special to me.
With everything going on, most of the BOV/BOSV wins are lost on me. We had several in both open and youth.
Leah had 3 BOB wins, a BOS, and a BISS.
Donovan had a BOB and a BIS.
I took a BOB and two BOS wins in open.
Unfortunately my pictures are few but the memories are many. ❤️
