One of the saddest giant-buck stories in hunting is still unsolved more than 20 years later. In 2003, 16-year-old Iowa hunter Brian Andrews killed a massive whitetail that scored over 250 inches and was believed to be one of the largest bucks ever taken by a youth hunter. It should have been a deer his family could keep forever.

Instead, the mounted buck was stolen right out of Andrews’ living room and has never been recovered. Somewhere, one of the most memorable youth-hunting bucks ever taken may still be hanging on a wall, sitting in storage, or waiting for someone to recognize it. More than two decades later, the question remains: where is the Brian Andrews buck?
