🎂 Please help us wish Maddy a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎉

Maddy has been at EVC for a little over 3 years. In those years, we have gotten to see her grow so much! Everyday she brings her determination to learn, her love for cats, and plenty of laughter. We are grateful to have her on our team, and hope she enjoys her special day today! 💜

We love you Maddy! 🥳 Happy Birthday! 🎊

🐕 Did you know that after your dog eats, you should wait a couple of hours before they engage in vigorous physical activity? 🏃‍♂️

🏃 Exercise immediately after eating increases the chance of Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus, or bloat. A brief, calm bathroom break 15 mins after eating, is okay. 👌

🐾 Breeds that are deep-chested have a much higher chance of bloat. Some breeds that are included are:
- Great Danes
- German Shepherds
- Greyhounds
- Irish Setters

Some symptoms of GDV include:
- Attempting to vomit 🤮
- Distended Abdomen
- Pacing
- Excessive drooling 💧
- Pale Gums

Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus is considered a medical emergency! 🚨
Contact your vet, or go to an emergency vet, if you suspect that your pet has GDV!
