Skipped Friday $5
We had a little scare this morning. We were taking Eliza to a Labor Day event. Amanda FaceTimed and said she thought Lady was colicking. We quickly turned around to check on her. She said she was repeatedly lying down and covered in sweat. We got her back up to the barn, gave her some banamine, wet her down, then filled a bucket with a handful of feed and a lot of water to get her to drink about two gallons. She seems to be doing well now.
Tim has been blocking off the ends of the creek to make sure no horses try to escape. We are considering letting Mackie Joe and a few from his herd on the creek and Tim and I both instantly thought we need to make sure that is secure.
All the horses on the 34 know they have a good life and would never try to intentionally leave but Mackie Jo has enough curiosity.
I did not have time to post $5 Friday. We had a lot of challenges/stressful situations this week that took a lot of time. I explained in last nights lives. We are still good for the next week or so but we never receive enough to cover when we place large orders so it helps for sure to get donations between or to have some on hand for medications, hoof trims and vet bills.
It is so hot that my phone had a warning when we were in the air conditioned truck (air hasn't worked very well in years). But the warning said the phone will start charging again once it's cooled down!
Please keep Lady Hope in mind for prayers and the others horses that they don't over heat.
