Moose, the sweet boy formerly known as Blue Boy, has really hit the jackpot! Now in his forever home, he's totally embraced the good life with his perfect family. Every day is a relaxing adventure, filled with endless cuddles, countless treats, and a constant, loving presence. He's undeniably spoiled, but honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way. Moose is simply loving every minute of his beautiful life, and we're so incredibly grateful to be sharing it with him.

From Uncertain to Unstoppable: Bruno’s Happy Tail! 🐾

​Remember Bruno? When he first came to us back in the spring, he was a bit of a mystery, a confused, unsure boy just trying to find his footing in the world. It took some time and a lot of patience, but look at him now! Since being adopted in April, Bruno has officially traded his uncertainty for the royal treatment.

​His new family reports that he’s absolutely thriving. He’s discovered a love for long walks and has made it very clear that he expects to be treated like the King he is! From "A" student in training to the spoiled ruler of his own castle, we couldn't be happier that Bruno found the perfect home where he can truly shine.

Meet Kylo! 🐾

​Kylo is the ultimate rockstar! Cool, calm, collected, and confident, this 4-year-old big boy has the dream temperament that every dog owner looks for. While he may have started life as an outdoor dog, Kylo has fully embraced the absolute luxury of indoor living. These days, his absolute favorite thing is finding a soft, cozy spot right next to his people to snooze happily.

​Kylo's Favorite Things:

• ​People, people, and more people! Kylo has never met a stranger. He absolutely thrives on human attention, loves everyone he meets, and just wants to shower you with affection.
• ​Making new friends: He is incredibly social and wants to say hello to every dog he sees. He has also shown interest in cats, though he hasn't officially lived with them yet.
​Health & Care Notes:
Kylo has some skin calluses that just need to be kept clean and dry. To keep his skin and tummy feeling their best, he thrives on a strict chicken-free diet (no chicken, chicken byproducts, or chicken protein).

​Kylo is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms and will be neutered in late June. His future adopting family will need to continue the remainder of his heartworm treatment, at an approved veterinarian, so he can officially start his healthy new chapter.

🐾 Forever Looks Good on Maisy! 🐾
​Remember Maisy, the incredible mama dog who raised a whole beautiful litter of puppies before finding her own perfect home? We have a wonderful update to share!

​Her family sent us a glimpse into her new life, and she is thriving. Here she is lounging in the grass looking cute, followed by a video of Maisy playing with her new brother, Hank, and her new human sister!

​It is pure joy to see her so happy, loved, and safe. This is exactly what rescue is all about! Thank you to Maisy's family for giving this special girl the forever home she always deserved. ❤️

From tiny rescue puppies to big, happy brothers! Big Jake (Red Boy) and Moose (Blue Boy) are growing fast and living their absolute best lives together. Their family reports that they are full of fun, a little bit of mischief, and a whole lot of love.

​Knowing these two get to spend their entire lives side-by-side is the greatest reward. A huge thank you to their family for loving them so completely, and to everyone who supports GPMR and makes these perfect matches possible! 🐕‍🦺✨

Come out and meet the Great Plains Mastiff Rescue team this Saturday, May 23rd, in North Richland Hills, Texas! We will be gathering from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and we would love for you to stop by. Whether you are looking to adopt, want to learn more about our rescue mission, or are just curious about the incredible, gentle giant English Mastiff breed, this is the perfect casual event to ask questions and meet some of our wonderful volunteers.
