Hey all! It is September already (can you believe it!), and that means it’s Su***de Prevention month and our 3rd Annual Hug-a-Horse event is coming up.
Due to the great turnout last year, we opened up another evening this year, so whichever date works best for you we hope to see you!
Hug-a-Horse is a free event that Tacktics hosts every September in recognition of Su***de Prevention month. We acknowledge the grounding and healing environment that horses provide, so we welcome you all out to our quiet 200 acres and 21 horses for some solitude and remembrance.
Like last year, we will have blue and purple ribbons available for you to tie into the horses mane in memory of someone lost to su***de, or if su***de has affected you in any way. Ribbons will stay anonymous but will stand as a symbolization.
We hope to see you September 18th or 25th, anytime between 4-7pm at 9997 W Deininger Ln, Galena, IL, 61036.
All are welcome, free of charge. No booking is needed, just check-in and sign a waiver when you arrive! 🐴
- All ages (but please respect that this is quiet, relaxing time in the horses)
- Arrive anytime between 4-7pm on Sept. 18th OR 25th
- Closed-toe shoes are required to go in with the horses
- A brief safety talk will be given to you before you go in with the horses
