Leptospirosis ("lepto") is a serious, often fatal bacterial disease in dogs that affects the kidneys and liver, caused by Leptospira bacteria found in soil, mud, and water contaminated by wildlife urine. Common symptoms include fever, vomiting, lethargy, increased drinking/urination, and jaundice. It is zoonotic, meaning it can spread from pets to humans.

Meet Lexi - she had a dental earlier this month and when she was recovering she got to hang out with Sage at the front desk all bundled up to keep warm 🥹 She was very brave and very interested in snuggles 😏

This is Bridget - she's a mini poodle and she's having a laser session. She's got little bows, she's wearing her safety goggles like a champ andddd she's trying to give her mom kisses. I don't think you could be any more of a perfect patient! 🎀🫶

Sometimes you just need your own seat at the vet - and Scotty knows what's up - it's him, on the bench 😂 He hopped on there on his own and got some snuggles and scratches before his exam started. We love his little tail and how he matches our color scheme! 😘

Since we’re on the subject of big dogs this week- meet Ruby! She’s a Dogue de Bordeaux and she has 1000% the best wrinkles and concerned eyebrows. How could you say no to anything she asks?!
