Words cannot express how proud we are of Jeremy, now Dr. Jeremy Koenig, DVM

Jeremy started at Rascal when he was in undergrad, with dreams of becoming a veterinarian one day. He demonstrated every trait we want from a veterinarian - compassion, hard work, and a desire to help both the animals and their caretakers.

We congratulate Dr. Koenig on his achievement, and we look forward to seeing how he uses his gifts as he enters this new chapter in his life. You are an amazing young man and the veterinary world is lucky to have you.

PAWS will be hosting the Rascal Unit, a mobile high volume spay/neuter clinic, on Saturday, June 6 at our shelter in Wilmington. Registration for cat spay and neuters are now open. Payment must be made in advance as spots are limited and on a first come basis. Payments are non-refundable. Cat neuters are $80 while spays are $90. This includes the surgery, rabies vaccine and admin. fee. If your cat is current on a rabies vaccine, you will need to bring a copy of the rabies certificate & the cost is reduced by $10. The clinic also offers other vaccines & tests in conjunction with the neuter. Please email [email protected] to receive information & to register.

Another Rascal Unit hosted today! 64 cats seen in total (one rejected for illness.) With the help of some rescue friends, we were able to get 3 kitties dentals, 36 friendly/adoptable were spayed/neutered which involved some community outreach, and 24 TNRs! Thank you LiFeline Cat Rescue and Network Inc, Blue's Mews Cat Rescue, Purrfect Additions, Paw Patrol Dayton, and Rascal Unit for helping an enormous amount of cats today! Photo is the only picture I took of a kitty we called AT&T who would reach out and touch us when we would walk by.
