I am absolutely speechless and incredibly moved by this 5-star review a client recently shared. This is why we I what I do. 💖

If there were a way to give more than five stars, I would — because Dr. Melanie has truly changed our lives. I first found her in one of the hardest seasons I’ve ever walked through. My Great Dane, Theo, had suddenly suffered several acute falls with no warning or explanation shortly after turning seven. Almost overnight he could barely stand, and I was carrying him up and down the stairs, holding him up to use the bathroom, and trying to figure out how to keep him safe. I was eight months pregnant at the time, my husband was deployed, and I had a toddler at home. I was exhausted, terrified, and desperate to understand what was happening to my sweet boy.
Our primary vet suspected Wobbler’s and got him stabilized with medication, but I knew medication alone wouldn’t give him any real quality of life. Before finding Melanie, I truly thought we were nearing the end of our time with Theo.
Then she came into our lives — and everything changed.
From the very first visit in March 2024, Melanie brought hope, relief, and a level of care I didn’t even know was possible. Through acupuncture and cold laser therapy, she helped him regain his strength, stability, and balance. His posture improved, he stopped slipping as much, he could hold himself upright longer — and the biggest miracle of all is that here we are almost two years later, and Theo is still doing well at almost nine years old. I have absolutely no doubt that it’s because of her. She didn’t just improve his life; she extended it.
Theo adores her. He waits bouncing by the door when she arrives, acts like he’s a puppy again, and soaks up every bit of her attention. Even if he’s sore for a day after treatment, he always stands straighter and stronger afterward. We can literally see the month mark approaching when he starts sinking again due to his symptoms — until she comes, and he perks right back up.
What makes Melanie special isn’t just her skill, though — it’s her heart. She is patient, gentle, and incredibly thorough. She plays calming music, explains every step, and never rushes through a visit. She’s always honest about expectations and realistic about his needs. She communicates quickly through text and email, which makes everything feel accessible and supported. And more than anything, she makes us feel like we matter — like Theo is her priority when she’s here, and even when she’s not.
She has gone above and beyond for us more times than I can count, including squeezing us in for two last-minute emergency appointments when Theo was declining before his next scheduled visit. That level of compassion and dedication is rare and deeply appreciated.
Over time, Melanie has become more than just “our vet.” She is someone I genuinely trust. Someone who loves her patients, loves her work, and treats families with kindness, warmth, and authenticity. She feels like a friend walking into our home, and she treats Theo like he is one of her own.
I could never express how grateful I am for the extra time she has given me with my sweet boy. I don’t know what we would have done without her. She is a rare and precious gift in this world, and we are so incredibly thankful for her.
Dr. Melanie has changed our lives for the better and given us more time with Theo than we ever thought possible — and we appreciate her more than she will ever know.
