🐾 ATTENTION DOG OWNERS!🕷️

According to data from the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC), through September of this year, Illinois has recorded thousands of positive canine cases of tick-borne diseases:

🔴 14,122 positive cases of Lyme disease
🟠 10,966 positive cases of Ehrlichiosis
🟡 10,330 positive cases of Anaplasmosis

That’s 35,418 positive canine cases of these three tick-borne diseases in Illinois in only 9 months! 😳

These aren't just numbers — they represent dogs that have been exposed to diseases transmitted by ticks. Dogs can become infected without their owners ever noticing a tick bite, and some infected dogs may show few or no obvious signs of illness.

🕷️ The good news? Prevention can make a difference!

CAPC recommends year-round tick control for dogs, especially because ticks can remain active during cooler months. Keeping your dog protected helps reduce the chance of tick-borne disease and can also help prevent ticks from being brought into your home.

This year, our veterinary hospital is celebrating Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead), and we would LOVE for our clients to be part of it! 🧡

🌸 What is Día de los Mu***os?

Día de los Mu***os is a beautiful Mexican tradition celebrated on November 1st and 2nd. It is a time to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away by celebrating their lives and the special memories they left behind. Families often create colorful displays called ofrendas, decorated with photos, flowers, and meaningful keepsakes. ❤️

🐾 We want to honor our beloved pets, too!

Our furry, feathered, and scaly companions are family, and the love they give us lasts a lifetime! 🌈💕

We are creating a special memorial display in our lobby to honor pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
