Cutie Corduroy 🩵

This 7 yo boy is one of the material gang surrendered from a breeder. He has been making so much progress in his foster home, but he’ll need a special family to keep helping him. 💕

Cody (as foster mom calls him) was terrified at first. He still gets scared very easily but is learning what a loving hand is. He will make sure you know when it’s time to eat! He has done excellent with potty manners, but he is afraid of the door and needs to be carried in/out. 🐾🐾

What does an ideal home look like for this little sweetie?

❌No kids. Loud noises, fast movements, and busy homes are scary

❌No big dogs

❌No travel. The world is very loud and scary. This little guy is happiest at home. He’s not an adventurer

✅ Quiet home with a secure yard. He will not walk on a leash

✅ Pawrents who are home most of the time

✅A crate or other safe space with comfy beds & blankets

✅Kind loving hearts who understand Corduroy Cody needs a lot of patience

✅ Preferred: Other calm small dog(s) to help him learn. He doesn’t play much with his foster siblings but he watches them closely.

This little guy deserves to find a home all his own, with pawrents who will love him just as he is. The effort will be worth it. Seeing the progress this brave little boy has made in just a couple of months is incredible. He has so much to give, he just needs the right family to find him 🩵

Italy was dropped off at the shelter with newborn puppies. Her previous owner’s excuse “they had too many dogs.”

Sadly, we don’t believe Italy was ever touched or held prior to coming to Tzu Zoo. She has raised her puppies and they have been adopted so we are praying for the right family for this sweet girl. She is 3 years old and 10 pounds. Italy is a poodle chihuahua mix.

She is fully house trained and will follow her foster family in and out of the house into the backyard but she runs if they try to pick her up. She will hang out with the family but she is very skittish. Her foster family will continue to work with her and hope that she will learn to be a loving companion. It’s just going to take awhile.

Every once in a while a miracle happens and an adopter is willing to work with a dog like Italy. We are praying for that miracle for Italy. She deserves to know love, security and happiness.

My name is Brew, but my Foster Mom calls me Brew Brew or Brewster, depending on what my current activity is.🐾

The Dogter said I am about 3 years old, yet I act like a puppy sometimes. At my last visit to the Dogter, I weighed 11 pounds. I love my scratches, especially at bedtime. If you’re petting another dog friend, I will push my way in because I like to share.🐶🐶

As a connoisseur of food, I really like my kibble with a little boiled chicken on top and I’m partial to puppy treats. I also give good puppy kisses.💕

At first, I was really scared to go on walks, but I’m getting better every day. I go potty in the yard but sometimes that threshold says stop and I must be coaxed across it. After I’m outside, it’s all business and I’m ready to go back inside.

My Foster Mom thinks I would do better with another playmate that would help me continue to learn how to not be afraid on walks and someone to play with. I think I agree.

I’ve been told that I would make that special someone a great companion and I wholeheartedly agree. ❤️

Leana is a 10 lb Shih Tzu who has spent her brief 2 yr life as a breeder dog.

She is doing very well with her potty training and has learned the dog door on her own. She is still a little shy around people but loves her humans to pet her. She is still getting used to not living in a confined area and gets along well with other dogs. She is learning about toys and treats - something she has never had before. 💕

Welcome Cavapoos (King Charles Cavalier and Poodle) Keiko (black) & Kai to Tzu Zoo Rescue!! Both are just under 12 pounds. ❤️

What do peanut butter & jelly, milk & cookies, Mac & cheese and Keiko & Kai all have in common? They go together! 🐶🐶

Keiko & Kai, two bonded brothers, are a wonderful pair. They were owner surrendered and are looking for a new family.

Raised in an apartment for four years, their barking is minimal and house & potty manners are very good. They love everyone! Young and energetic, they will quickly cuddle up for a belly rub and snuggles with their person. They are kennel trained and will go in on command but would much rather be free in the house which includes sleeping in your bed at night.

If you are looking for a bonded pair of sweet dogs, then come meet Keiko & Kai. 💕

Oliver is a very, very sweet young boy at 10 months and 11.5 pounds. He has perfect potty manners and he is quick about it. He is not a marker. He is cuddly and loves to play with his toys. He led a quiet life and so he is a bit wary of strangers and other dogs, but he is getting braver and he is very intersted. He was playing chase outside with his foster sister this week. He walks well on a leash and loves to sleep with his people. He loves his food and even sits for treats. He would like to have a furry sibling in his forever home. 💕
