After a long racing career and bringing two litters into the world, Charm officially retired into a life of pure love at the age of 7. She immediately found herself surrounded by comfort and care, stepping into her rightful place as Susie and John McQuade’s lucky 13th greyhound.

Charm spent her well-earned retirement years being thoroughly spoiled, trading the racetrack for the softest couches, the deepest affection, and a family that adored her completely.

Run free, sweet Charm. You were deeply loved and will be dearly missed. 🌈💕

Fresh off the journey from Australia and already stealing hearts. 🇦🇺💛

Yesterday, we welcomed a new group of greyhounds into the GALT family. We are so grateful to our incredible intake team for making their arrival smooth, safe, and full of love.

These hounds are just beginning their next chapter. Over the coming days and weeks, they will settle into foster homes where we will get to know their personalities, routines, quirks, and favorite ways to be spoiled.

Keep an eye out. Once they are ready, these beautiful new arrivals will become available for adoption.

Welcome to Texas, mates. Your new lives start now. 🐾

Ziva, fka Sunday, fka Kells Sundowner

Tara, fka WW Throwback

Ziva and Tara raced into Tom and Melissa’s lives and settled into their hearts.

Ziva, pictured on the left, and Tara, pictured on the right, were deeply loved members of their family. These two girls brought joy, companionship, and so much love to the people lucky enough to call them their own.

They will be deeply missed and remembered always by their GALT family. Melissa and Tom are grateful for everyone’s kind words of encouragement and support that celebrate Ziva and Tara’s lives.

Anna, aka CDCS Wonderwoman
April 11, 2015 – May 29, 2026

Anna came to her family from Monica’s Heart in Pennsylvania as a 22-month-old who had not qualified for racing. Perhaps she simply knew racing was not for her, because Anna pretty much never did anything she did not want to do.

Stoic, independent, and wonderfully herself, Anna lived life on her own terms. Now, her beautiful spirit runs free, chasing deer and rabbits, playing with joy, and basking in the morning sun on cool grass.

Anna is forever loved by Sharon and Michael, and she has taken a big piece of each of their hearts to keep her company.

Run free, sweet Anna. You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed. 💙

Willie was a gentle old soul who filled his family’s lives with absolute devotion, quiet companionship, and the most endearing greyhound shenanigans. After spending his early years at the Cherokee blood bank, Willie was blessed to spend the rest of his days exactly where he belonged: close to the people he loved most.

He took great pride in being an only dog, happily keeping his mom and dad’s attention all to himself. Whether he was patiently wearing any outfit, sharing his steady presence, or simply being the perfect boy, Willie brought immeasurable love to Wanda and Vance.

Run free, sweet Willie. You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed. 💙
