Hope's Rescue and Recovery Angels (HRRA) is a 501c3 Non-Profit animal tracking and trapping service. It was born out of my passion to give the voiceless strays a voice and to reunite missing pets with their family. After years of freelancing in the trapping world, the demand has dramatically increased as people realize a service like this exists. Outside areas of North Texas will be considered bas

ed on case load. HRRA provides tracking of potential sightings, mapping analysis of the area lost, surveillance with game cameras, live cameras and feeding stations. In addition, capture/trapping techniques are used once they are approaching the feeding station on a regular basis. Each dog is different so we work to condition them to get past their fears and analyze a way to capture them safely and securely. We also aim to help educate the community about dog behavior and how it changes when a dog goes into "Fight or Flight" mode. How we as humans react can make all the difference in saving an animals life.

North Texas Giving Day is almost here, and EARLY GIVING STARTS THIS THURSDAY, AUGUST 27! ❤️🐾

This year, North Texas Giving Day is Thursday, September 17, and Hope’s Rescue and Recovery Angels is excited to once again be part of this incredible day of giving!

For HRRA, your donations aren't just numbers on a fundraising page. They are fuel in our vehicles, food in our traps, cameras in the field, batteries, equipment, veterinary care when needed, and the resources that allow us to answer the next call.

We don't have a shelter. We don't have a facility. Our work happens in the field—sometimes in the middle of the night, sometimes for days or weeks at a time—helping scared, lost and stray dogs like Hatchi get off the streets and into safety. 🐕❤️

Every capture takes time, equipment, travel, patience, teamwork and resources. Your support is what keeps our wheels turning and our traps working.

Many of you have been asking about Athena. We are incredibly relieved to share that Athena has been safely captured and is receiving veterinary care.

*Edit* Athena is NOT under our care but with The Street Dog Project. Please direct questions on Athena's status to them. We were not involved with her capture and do not know details.

Thank you to every single person who donated, shared her story, reported sightings, and believed in her over these past six months. Your support made it possible to keep searching for her.

While this ending did not unfold the way we expected, and there are some difficult emotions behind the scenes that we're working through privately, today our focus is simply gratitude that Athena is alive and getting the care she needs.

Thank you for standing beside Hope's Rescue and Recovery Angels throughout this journey. We'll share more about Athena's recovery when appropriate.

💜 SAFE AT LAST – WELCOME HOME, AMARA! 💜

After a month and a half of surviving on her own with a devastating injury, Amara is finally SAFE. 🐾

Amara, a young German Shepherd in Terrell, Texas, suffered a horrific injury when her tail was ripped off by an 18-wheeler. Somehow, despite the pain and fear, she continued to survive on the streets.

When we first received the call about her, I was just one day away from leaving for vacation. Jeane and Angel immediately stepped in and began working the case, trying to help this sweet girl. Once I returned, we reassessed the situation and realized she wasn't comfortable entering the smaller trap. Thanks to **Billy and his wonderful family—his mom and his daughter—**who faithfully fed her every evening and earned her trust enough that she would eat from his hand, we were able to begin conditioning her to our 10' x 10' x 6' trap.

For the past week and a half, we've patiently worked to earn her trust. We even brought in Logan, our Magnet Dog, who did an incredible job helping her relax. We came close to getting a leash on her, but she just wasn't ready. So we stayed patient, adjusted our plan, and let Amara tell us when she was ready.

Tonight, that patience paid off.
Amara is SAFE. ❤️

She is now with her incredible foster, Stella, where she can finally rest without fear. Although she was understandably scared at first, it didn't take long for her sweet, loving personality to shine through.
We scanned her for a microchip, but unfortunately she did not have one, and no one has reported her missing.

Tomorrow she will see the veterinarian to begin treatment for what remains of her tail. While the injury is still bleeding, she is finally getting the medical care she has needed for so long.

Sweet girl... your days of running, hiding, and surviving are over.

Welcome home, Amara. You never have to be afraid again. Your next chapter begins now, surrounded by people who will love you, protect you, and make sure you never face another day alone. ❤️🐾

A heartfelt thank you to Jeane, Angel, Alexis, Billy, Billy's mom, Billy's daughter, and our amazing foster, Stella. Every one of you played an important role in bringing Amara to safety. It truly takes a village, and because of your patience, compassion, and teamwork, this sweet girl now has the chance to heal and experience the love she has always deserved.

This is why we never give up. No matter how long it takes, every life is worth fighting for. ❤️
