Our mission is to reduce the homeless and abandoned dog population by providing dog lovers all the services and resources needed to form a happy and healthy, lifelong bond with their dog(s). We are committed to become a one-stop shop for quality dog care services, products and resources for dog lovers in the Columbus, Ohio area. Seeing all of my Homies so excited to come play every single morning! Not going to lie, watching some Homies run into the glass door not realizing it’s not open yet always cracks me up 😅

Short Bio 💙
I have been a big dog person since I have been little! It all started when I got my first dog, Eddie, when I was about 7 years old. I loved going to the group training classes with my mom. I would watch the training at first, but quickly got involved and jumped head first into training in the classes. At home, I was teaching Eddie new tricks in the back yard. Once we ran out of training classes, we moved on to show dog classes to keep me occupied. Being around dogs has always been something I knew I wanted to do 🙂

HOMEDOG HISTORY LESSON

For our new Homies and those who don’t know, we opened for limited daycare services Monday February 12, 2018. Our facility was a warehouse shell that needed a lot of work and even though it was not the facility I dreamt of, we had to make it work the best we could. These images are from our first day. Most of the dogs shown are either dogs I was walking or my own, but it still felt surreal and like the first real accomplishment towards running a dog care facility. A dream I worked towards for years, finally coming to fruition. At the time we opened, I had put 7 months of renovations into the building and was far from finished but nonetheless this day felt like success. Little did I know, the best and worst was yet to come. This day feels like yesterday and forever ago at the same time and while there were a lot of things I would do differently now, I am grateful for those long, hard days as it has shaped me and Homedog, into what it is today. Thank you to all our past, present, and future Homies for your support and trust. It means the world to me and our team as it gives us the opportunity to do something we love ❤️

Today was a fun filled day with our last day of Bark to school and a couple birthdays to celebrate! We got to celebrate Sophie’s first birthday and Bowie’s sixth birthday! We are always so so so happy to celebrate birthdays with our Homies 🥰🥳🎂 we hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and we cannot wait to continue the party next week 🎈
