Set Your Dog Up for Success! 🐾

Successful training isn't just about teaching your dog what to do; it's about creating an environment where they can make good choices! Set clear expectations, be consistent, manage distractions, and reward the behaviors you want to see more of.

Remember, it's easier to build good habits from the beginning than to correct unwanted behaviors later. Give your dog the tools, guidance, and opportunities they need to succeed!

Success starts with us, not the dog! ❤️🐾

Training doesn’t always have to look like “work!” Some of the best learning happens when we combine play and training.

Play helps build engagement, strengthens the relationship between dog and handler, provides an outlet for energy, and can be an AMAZING reward for good behavior. 🙌

Today, we remember. 🇺🇸

We remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We remember the families whose lives were forever changed. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away.

And as a dog-loving community, we also remember the incredible search-and-rescue dogs who worked alongside their handlers in the days and weeks that followed—searching, comforting, and serving with unwavering loyalty.

Some heroes walked on two legs. Some walked on four. All left a legacy of courage, service, and love.

May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the way our country came together in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Three years. September 6, 2023. 🐾🌈
Three years since I had to say goodbye to my Charlie, and somehow there are moments when it still feels like yesterday.
There are dogs who come into our lives and become part of our family, and then there are dogs who become part of who we are. Charlie was that dog for me.
I still miss his face. His personality. The way he made me laugh. The comfort of having him beside me. I miss all the ordinary little moments that I didn't know would someday become some of my most precious memories.
Grief changes with time, but love doesn't. Three years later, I don't love him any less. I don't miss him any less. I've just learned how to carry that love with me in a different way.
I would give anything for one more hug, one more ridiculous Charlie moment, one more day with my boy.
Until we meet again, sweet Charlie. I hope somewhere beyond the Rainbow Bridge you're running free, causing a little trouble, and somehow knowing that your mama still talks about you, still thinks about you, and still loves you more than words could ever say.
You were my favorite hello and one of my hardest goodbyes. 🤍

Today, on Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, we remember the dogs who gave us a kind of love that never really leaves us. 🌈🐾
For me, that’s Charlie and Sig. Two very different dogs, two very special pieces of my heart, and a lifetime of memories I would give anything to experience just one more time.
The hardest part about loving a dog is knowing our time with them will never feel long enough. They come into our lives, quietly become part of our routines, our families, and our hearts—and somehow leave paw prints in places we didn’t even know existed.
Sig and Charlie may no longer walk beside me, but they are still a part of who I am. I will carry the lessons they taught me, the memories we made, and the love they gave me for the rest of my life.
Today, I remember them not only for the heartbreak of losing them, but for how incredibly lucky I was to have loved them at all. 🤍
Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge, boys. You are loved. You are missed. And you will never be forgotten. 🌈🐾

Happy National Dog Day! 🐾💙

Today we celebrate the wet noses, wagging tails, muddy paws, and unconditional love that make life with dogs so special.

As a dog trainer, I get the privilege of watching dogs learn, grow, build confidence, and strengthen the bond they share with their people—and I truly can’t imagine a better job. Every dog that comes through my door leaves a little paw print on my heart. 🐾

Give your pups an extra treat, an extra walk, or a few extra snuggles today. They deserve it!
