😎 Meet Gillie 😎

Gillie is a 13-year-old Min Pin/Chihuahua mix with a happy-go-lucky attitude and a heart full of love.

This sweet senior still has a little pep in his step and enjoys exploring, following you around, and seeing what's going on. But he's also perfectly content to curl up in a comfy bed and sleep the afternoon away. In other words, he's mastered the art of balance. 🐾

What he does need is a family willing to give a wonderful senior boy the soft landing he deserves.
🐾 13 years old
🐾 Happy, friendly personality
🐾 Equal parts adventure buddy and nap enthusiast
🐾 Does not need to be adopted with Tillie
🐾 Ready for his forever home
Senior dogs have a special way of stealing your heart, and Gillie is no exception. ❤️

Meet Clover and Esme!!

Two of the Texas 8 and they are ready for their forever homes!

Esme (white) is around 7 years old and Clover is almost 4 years old. In spite of coming from a horrible breeding/hoarding situation, they are two of the sweetest dogs ever.

They love each other but would be fine adopted separately. Both have been around other dogs, large and small, and seem to interact well.

Due to their poor living conditions prior to rescue, Clover and Esme are a bit shy at first. We’re continuing to work with them on walking with a harness/leash. They love to play in our fenced backyard and they are also just as happy being inside where they can nap most of the day.

Both are potty trained when leashed and taken outside on schedule.

Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made. The application is the first step. Please complete the adoption (or foster) application here: https://www.russellrescuetn.com/application-for-adoption/

🐾 Meet Layla 💛

5 years old

13 pounds

All joy, all the time

Layla is the kind of dog who wakes up ready to make the most of the day — whether that’s chasing toys, zooming around the yard, or getting her friends in on the fun.

She’s playful, happy, and full of personality — the kind of dog who brings energy and laughter wherever she goes.

✨ Layla’s perfect day includes:

🎾 Toys (the more, the better!)

🏃‍♀️ Room to run and burn off her zoomies

🐕 A playful dog buddy

💛 Time with her people

Because she loves to play and can get excited, Layla would do best with older kids or pre-teens who can match her energy and enjoy her playful spirit.

And when she’s done being the life of the party?

She’s more than happy to curl up beside you and relax. 💕

✨ Layla at a glance:

✔️ Crate trained

✔️ Almost fully potty trained

✔️ Working on leash manners

✔️ Smart, fun, and full of life

Layla is the total package for someone looking for a dog who’s equal parts fun and affectionate.

She’s been waiting her turn… and we think it’s time someone finally says,

👉 “That’s my girl.” 💛
