🐾 FOSTER UPDATE: PEANUT BUTTER 🐾

Peanut Butter has been in foster care for just a few days, and she's already making progress!

Coming from a hoarding situation, everything is new to this sweet girl. When she first arrived, she was unsure about collars, harnesses, leashes, and all the things that come with being a beloved family pet. But day by day, she's learning that the world isn't such a scary place.

✅ Eating well
✅ Recovering nicely from her spay
✅ Working on leash walking
✅ Learning that potty time happens outside
✅ Growing more comfortable with people and other dogs

Her foster says Peanut Butter is very food motivated and loves her stuffies! 🧸❤️

She's still building confidence and learning the ropes, but we're already seeing her personality begin to shine through. With patience, love, and a little time, this girl is going to blossom into an amazing companion.

HAPPY TAILS, JELLY! 🖤🐾

It seems like just yesterday we were introducing Peanut Butter and Jelly. Today, we're celebrating because Jelly has already found her forever home!

This sweet little girl has officially traded rescue life for a lifetime of love, cozy laps, soft blankets, and all the attention she deserves. Looking at that photo, we'd say she's settling into her new role quite nicely. ❤️

Thank you to her adopter for opening your heart and home to this precious girl. Every adoption reminds us why we do what we do, even on the busiest days.

While Jelly begins her next chapter, we'll keep working to help the many dogs still waiting for their own happy endings.

Congratulations, Jelly! We can't wait to see all the adventures ahead. 🐾

ADOPTION UPDATE: CHLOE (NOW ROSIE!) 🐾❤️
Just three short weeks ago, Chloe came into rescue looking for a fresh start. Today, she's headed home with a wonderful family—and a brand new name: Rosie! 🌹
Rosie spent her time in foster care learning what it means to be loved, safe, and part of a family. While we're thrilled for her happy ending, there are definitely a few tears being shed too. Foster mom and family got pretty attached to this sweet girl, and we're not the only ones.
Taylor Swift is going to miss her bestie something fierce. 🐶💕🐶
But that's the bittersweet part of rescue. We love them, we help them heal, and then we let them go when the perfect family comes along. And for Rosie, that family has arrived.
We know she's headed for a life full of love, adventures, comfy beds, and all the happiness she deserves.
Happy tails, Rosie. Thank you for letting us be part of your journey. We'll miss you, but knowing you're going to have the best life with your new family makes every goodbye worth it. ❤️

Remi is a beautiful, affectionate girl who is looking for an active family to call her own! At around 3 years old and 50 lbs, she is incredibly loyal and protective of her people. Once she gets to know you, she absolutely loves attention and will happily soak up all the pets she can get.
This playful girl loves a good game of chase and really needs a securely fenced yard where she can run and stretch her legs. Remi would thrive with an active family that enjoys walks, outdoor adventures, and keeping up with her energetic spirit.

🚨 Urgent Foster Needed! 🚨

We have been contacted about a tiny Jack Russell Terrier puppy, estimated to be just 7–8 weeks old. 🐶❤️

We would love to help this little guy, but we can only take him in if we have a foster home ready for him. He will need a safe place to stay for a few weeks until he is old enough to complete his vaccinations.

Can you open your home and help this puppy get the fresh start he deserves? Fostering saves lives, and this little one is counting on us.

Russell Rescue TN is celebrating 20 years of saving lives, and we're looking for a few volunteers to help make our anniversary event a success!

We could use help with:
🎈 Setup & decorating
🎁 Prize table assistance
🎨 Face painting/stamps for kids
🐾 Walking our foster dogs during the event
📦 Loading and unloading supplies

⏰ 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Whether you can help for an hour or the entire event, we'd love to have you be part of the celebration. Volunteers are the reason we've been able to save so many dogs over the last 20 years.

💛 ADOPTION UPDATE: TITO & FREDDY 💛

We received the sweetest update from Tito and Freddy's mom and had to share!

"Who knew as a big dog lover that these two would steal my heart. ♥️ They both snuggle each other and the big dogs. It's pretty cute.

Freddy is still a little reluctant to come and go outside if Drei is there. He ran over him again. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Treats help!

Tito is having a dental in July. His teeth are mangled... no surprise there. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This right here is why we do rescue.

If you're hoping to meet adoptable dogs and potentially take home your new best friend, NOW is the time to submit your application!

To be eligible to adopt at the event, applications should be submitted in advance so our volunteers have time to process and approve them.

🐾 Approved adopters may be able to take home their new Russell Rescue dog from the event.

Peanut Butter came from a hoarding situation and, unfortunately, had to wait in boarding until a foster home became available.

Just look at the difference after only 24 hours in foster care! ❤️ She went from frightened, stressed, and unsure of her surroundings to finally being able to decompress, relax, and start feeling safe.

This is the power of fostering. A warm home, a soft bed, and a little patience can completely change a dog’s world.

Fostering truly saves lives, and we would love for you to join our amazing foster team and help more dogs like Peanut Butter find comfort, healing, and hope. 🐾💕
