PLEASE SHARE OUR FRIDAY PETSMART LINEUP
Y'all we have some really, really cute puppies, but boy oh boy, the 5 floofy puppies we are taking to PetSmart (Spring Hill store) tomorrow are off the charts cute. This group is not the same as the 4 floofies we took at the start of the week. We do not DNA test so we consider the puppies mixed breed. We are also bringing our senior sweetheart Lola, and super shy guy Avery. He came with us today and we watched proudly as he interacted with new people and had fun hanging out in the store. He's coming back tomorrow so we can keep building up his confidence. Please, please share so more adopters know we will be back at PetSmart tomorrow between 4 and 6 pm. See you tomorrow.

PLEASE SHARE LOLA - SENIOR ALERT
Everyone meet the new girl Lola. She is 9 years old but she seems much younger. She is in good health and gets around just fine. She has a lovely personality and has lived inside. She seems housetrained and walks well when leashed. And she appears dog friendly, we will be introducing her to playgroups and will continue our assessments this week. We would love to see her have a very short stay so please come meet her if you're interested and please share her so we can reach more potential adopters. If you have a dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Lola is spayed, up to date on shots, and microchipped. She's ready to go home with an approved application. Let's get Lola home by the weekend!!

PLEASE SHARE - WEDNESDAY FYI
Why do cats have claws? Cats have claws to catch and hold prey, climb trees for safety, defend themselves from danger, and maintain their balance. Their unique retractable design keeps the tips sharp by hiding them in fur sheaths when not in use, while scratching helps shed old outer layers and mark territory with scent.

Main Uses of Claws

• Hunting: Grab, grip, and hold onto fast-moving prey or toys.
• Climbing: Hook into bark or fabric to pull themselves up high or stabilize.
• Self-Defense: Deliver quick swipes to warn off threats.
• Balance & Traction: Anchor their paws during sudden jumps, sharp turns, or fast sprints.
• Stretching & Marking: Dig into surfaces to stretch muscle groups and leave scent cues from paw glands.

When you declaw your cat you deprive them of all these uses. It wasn't that long ago that the practice of declawing your cat fell out of favor. So we agree with our friend here, we are a no on declawing. Now you know.

PLEASE SHARE PRETTY BOY - ADOPTED 🎉🎉🎉
We loooooooove that adorable and happy face so much!! Pretty Boy looks so much happier than when we first met him this past summer. He came to us then from a cruelty and neglect case. He was pretty nervous when he first arrived. He is 2 years old, about 11 lbs, dog friendly, and a tripod. He did not have a long stay with us the first time, which was great, but his new family experienced circumstances beyond their control and now he's back with us, through no fault of his own, and ready to find a new family. We can't get over the difference a few months of love and home life has made for PB. He has a lot more confidence than when he left and he's a lot happier in general. If you are looking for a small dog to add to your family, please come meet him. We would love for Pretty Boy to have a very short stay. Please share.

THANK YOU ❤️
It's National Vet Tech week and we don't know where we would be without the dedication and compassion of Faith, Deanna, and Ashley, our fearless shelter vet techs. They are often the first humans our dogs and cats meet after entering the shelter and sadly a lot of animals might not make it to the adoption floor with out their dedicated care. We are very, very lucky to have three wonderful professionals looking after our animals. They also keep our vaccine and microchip clinics and TNR clinics running smoothly every month. Thank you, thank you ladies. Happy National Vet Tech week. We celebrate you this week and every week ❤️
