Meet Lavaca, a sweet male terrier with a gentle heart and a story that will touch yours.

Lavaca was deeply loved, but sadly, his owner passed away. Now this precious boy is looking for his next love — someone who will open their heart and give him the comfort, security, and family he deserves.

He has known love before, and he is hoping to find it again. Losing the person he knew as home was not his fault, and now he needs someone special to help him begin his next chapter.

He would love a home where he can feel safe, cherished, and included as part of the family. Lavaca still has so much love to give, and he is ready to share it with the right person.

Lavaca is available through Bastrop No Kill Rescue and Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue serving Bastrop County, Travis County, and the greater Austin, Texas area.

Meet Sixth Street, a handsome male pit bull with a heart as big as his smile.

Sixth Street was found out on the streets, but you would never know it from the love he has to give. This sweet boy has been through uncertainty, yet he remains friendly, trusting, and full of hope. He is truly a very good boy who just wants a safe place to land and a family to call his own.

He has a happy, gentle spirit and loves being around people. Sixth Street is the kind of dog who reminds us why rescue matters. All he needed was someone to see him, care about him, and give him the chance at a Better Life Ahead.

Now, he is ready for his next chapter. Sixth Street is looking for a loving home where he can be cherished, protected, and finally know what it feels like to belong.

Olive Oyl is a precious senior poodle with a soft little face, a gentle heart, and the kind of sweet spirit that makes you fall in love fast. She may be in her golden years, but she still has so much love to give and so much joy left to share.

Olive Oyl is the kind of dog who reminds you to slow down and appreciate the quiet, beautiful moments. A cozy bed, a kind hand, a soft voice, and someone to love her are all she really needs. She has a tender, loving nature and carries herself with that special senior-dog wisdom that says she has known life, and she is ready to spend the rest of it being cherished.

At Bastrop No Kill Rescue and Sanctuary, we believe dogs like Olive Oyl deserve more than a second chance. They deserve safety, dignity, comfort, and a family who sees just how special they are. Senior dogs have a quiet magic about them, and Olive Oyl is full of it.
