Smith Pak Working Dogs SPWD is a K9 company that specializes in the training & implementation of professional working dogs

Dave and Monique Smith formed Smith Pak because We love our dogs! We have spent years looking for the best lineage, the most awesome dogs and originally wanted them for us to work, train and do stuff with. We have grown to love the breed, established incredible mentors and friendships and those who are true breeders to guide us! We work with some of the best kennels in Czech to establish our lines

and begin our kennel here in the states. We strive to be the best we can be and do the best we can for each and every dog we have, that we get to have a part of and who touch our lives!

Deputy Ohmer and K9 Silas assisted the Ridgeland Police Department in tracking a domestic violence suspect for approximately 0.25 miles through dense wooded terrain. The track successfully directed the suspect into established perimeter units positioned ahead of the K9 team, where the suspect was safely taken into custody.

It’s hard to believe these beautiful puppies will be turning ONE this week! Time truly flies, and watching these pups grow into incredible dogs has been such a rewarding experience for us.

As we look ahead and begin planning for the future, Dave and I are carefully considering what our fall breeding plans may look like. After many years of dedication to our program, this may potentially be one of the final years for Smith Pak puppies.

Breeding is something we take very seriously. Every puppy we produce is a lifelong commitment—not only to the puppy itself, but also to the families, handlers, and working teams who trust our program. We want to ensure we can continue giving every dog and owner the support and commitment they deserve.

The last two weeks Smith Pak has had the pleasure of being in San Francisco working with the NFL special thanks to Scent Works Canine.

We have been at some special places, making sure these incredible athletes, their families and fans stay safe while they attend their events. On the last day, we were able to work at SuperBowl LX at Levi Stadium.

I am extremely proud of the Smith Pak teams including:

Makyla and K9 Valor
Latanya and K9 London
Emma and K9 Chyro
Monique and K9 Uzak

Along with the above teams we were surrounded by extremely professional teams that worked alongside us all throughout the week and made everything smooth and seamless. It was an incredible experience.

K9 Cuddles & Deputy Lieurance-12/11/2025 Successful Track. The suspect swam across a river and took off into the mountains. The team tracked over a ½ mile in very difficult terrain, maneuvering rockfall and downed trees for the majority of the track.

🐾💔 It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of losing our beloved Titan, the heart and soul of our kennel. After many incredible years of service, his poor body could no longer keep up, and it was time to let him go.

Titan has given us so much—his love, loyalty, and countless memories that we will cherish forever. He not only served as a remarkable working dog but also as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to so many wonderful puppies. His legacy will live on through them as they carry on his spirit and traits.

We will miss Titan deeply—his strong presence, unwavering dedication, and the joy he brought into our lives. Thank you, Titan, for all the years of companionship and for being such a vital part of our family, kennel and to all of the amazing families that benefited from your progeny. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. 🐾❤️
Rest easy, dear friend. You will be greatly missed.
