Do you recall the dog we rescued who was aimlessly circling in a field? One individual suggested he be shot, while another believed he was rabid. We were contacted, and as I observed him and approached, I noticed him sniffing the air repeatedly. It then became apparent that he was both blind and deaf. Upon gently placing my hand on him, his entire body visibly relaxed, as if he understood he was safe. His head and neck area were covered in dried blood and had bite marks on his head and neck, with injuries also to his private area. As I picked him up, his tail wagged continuously.
We named him Harley, and he is thriving. He is a senior dog who thoroughly enjoys his walks and does really well! He is housebroken and is a truly wonderful 19-pound companion. He would love to just sit next to you and receive pets.
He is recovering from a recent dental procedure where eight teeth were extracted, neutering, and recovering from the attack. He is now hookworm free, received his shots and now microchipped. His bloodwork shows he is hypothyroid, and we are working to regulate his condition.
Despite all he has been through, he offers nothing but love to his human companions and is eagerly awaiting his permanent family. He genuinely desires someone to cherish him. He gets so excited when you come up and start petting him. We love him and want a forever family to love him! He deserves the best! [email protected] for more information
