This Reptile Awareness Day, let's share the wealth of knowledge this hobby has to offer. Share the coolest reptile fact you know in the comments.

Have you ever heard someone call snakes "slimy"?
Reptile skin is generally pretty dry unless you spray them with water, in which case the skin repels water, causing it to bead up like water on a freshly stained deck. We'd like to thank the baby rainbow boa from Cart's Constrictors for the demonstration!

Spiders may be the stuff of nightmares for some people, but did you know that researches found REM-like sleep behaviors in jumping spiders? Whether or not they are actually dreaming remains unknown, so if someone could phone Dr. Doolittle and have him find out, we'd appreciate it.

This baby belongs to Mystic Jumpers and was kind enough to show off for the camera this weekend!

Some of our vendors decorated their tables for October's show. Who do you think had the best table for Halloween?

Yesterday was full of fun and cool animals. The biggest roach we've ever seen didn't even fit in a deli cup! (The Roach Lady) and that butterfly never once tried to fly around😆 (The Creep Collective)

Our vendors dressed up, even Quilted Dragon Co.'s bearded dragon dressed up!

What was your favorite costume you saw at the show this weekend?

We love to see customers enjoying the show and talking up our vendors!

Thanks for coming out, Onyx Hill Homestead!
