Just another day here at OPR… 💔

This little guy has found himself in need of URGENT rescue.

He was born into a home as the result of an accidental litter and, unfortunately, never found a new home. So there he was — living in a crowded environment with his siblings, parents, and other animals — until somehow, he became injured.

His family simply couldn’t afford to get him the medical care he needed.

And that’s where we come in.

We’re taking on the burden of caring for a dog who never should have been born into this situation in the first place. His parents should have been altered before they had the opportunity to reproduce. His family shouldn’t have been overwhelmed with more mouths to feed, and now, unexpected medical bills.

But here we are. ❤️‍🩹

Thankfully, a foster stepped forward, which meant we could say YES to him. He is now safely with OPR and will receive the medical care he desperately needs — along with the vaccinations, preventatives, and routine care he should have received all along.

And once again, OPR is left with another unexpected medical bill on top of the countless others we already carry.

If you’re able to donate toward this little guy’s care, PLEASE consider helping. Every dollar makes it possible for us to keep saying YES when animals like him have nowhere else to turn. 🙏

And please, please SPAY & NEUTER. Accidental litters have consequences — and too often, those consequences end up being carried by rescues, shelters, and the animals themselves.

Apollo is ready for his forever home! 💙

After everything this boy has been through, we finally get to share some BIG news… Apollo has officially been medically cleared for adoption! 🥹

Now there’s just one thing standing between Apollo and the life he deserves: getting him out of boarding and into a home.

His adopter will need to be committed to his ongoing care. Apollo takes daily medication and must remain on a specific urinary diet to keep him healthy. These are important parts of his routine, but they’re a small price to pay for the love and loyalty this boy has to give.

He has already been failed by people who were supposed to care for him. We refuse to let that be his story. We promised Apollo we would find someone who wouldn’t give up on him — and we intend to keep that promise. 🥺

He has done well with young kids and other cats!

Who is ready to give this boy the happily-ever-after he has been waiting for? 🐾💙

Mikey is still waiting… 💔😭🐱

Swipe through these photos and you’ll see a little girl who has literally grown up in rescue. 🥺 From those tiny baby pictures to the beautiful girl she is today, Mikey has changed so much — but one thing hasn’t changed…

She’s still waiting for her forever family.

Mikey is approaching 90 days in rescue, and somehow, her two brothers have already found their forever homes while she’s still here waiting for someone to choose her. 💔

She’s playful, confident, and loves to play rough with her kitty friends — so a feline sibling who enjoys wrestling and chasing would be perfect for her! 😂🐾 She’s also dog friendly and great with young children, making her a pretty easy addition to the right family.

And because we REALLY want to see Mikey finally get her happily ever after…

Her adoption fee is waved to the right home.

That doesn’t mean just anyone — we’re still looking for the family who is the right fit for Mikey and ready to love her for life. ❤️
