MEET HAZEL - YOUR NEW ADVENTURE BUDDY! Hazel is a gorgeous 1-1.5-year-old Vizsla mix, weighing in at 53 pounds, and this girl is ready to find a family who wants a dog who is truly part of the action! Hazel is everything we love about the Vizsla personality. Vizslas are known for being affectionate, intelligent, athletic, people-oriented dogs who love being close to their humans. They are often called 'Velcro dogs' because they want to be right there with their people-and Hazel definitely fits that description! She is food motivated AND toy motivated, which makes her fun to train and engage with. She loves human touch, affection, and cuddling, but she also has plenty of young-dog energy and loves to play with other dogs. And Hazel has some fantastic house manners already! House trained Crate trained s Dog-door trained | Very good on leash s Rides well in the car Loves other dogs Great with people Loves toys Food motivated LOVES her humans Hazel does still get a little carsick sometimes, but she's getting better and better. One thing her new family needs to know: when Hazel first moves somewhere new, she needs you to go outside with her initially while she learns the new yard and routine. Once she understands that this is home, she does well. A secure fenced yard would be ideal for Hazel, but even more important is a family who wants to include her in their lives. She isn't looking to be a backyard dog. She wants walks, playtime, adventures, time with her people, and then a good cuddle session afterward. If you've been looking for a fun, affectionate young dog who is social, smart, playful, and ready to do life WITH you, Hazel might just be your girl. HAZEL | 1-1.5 years | 53 lbs | Vizsla mix She's young. She's fun. She's affectionate. She's ready. Now she just needs YOU. Adoption Info: All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing and treatment if necessary, current flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipping prior to adoption. We are stoked our community has stepped up and raised 40% of our goal thus far! We hope you all keep spreading the word and keep supporting our cause! Last year we adopted out 72 dogs and to date for 2026, we are at 52 adoptions! With your help, we can help more bird dogs!

Murphy got to run with a few of the pack members today. First lap was with Sasha, Django and Harper. 2nd lap was with Salem, R***r, Rhen, Harper, Chili, Sesi. He walked about 3.5 miles and didnt stray more than 20ft. Hope he relaxes and ranges out with time. He did great with all the pups.

Gator has been doing a little bet better, but his iliopsoas muscles are like ropes... trying to balance him laying around like a sack of potatoes and needing to be on kennel rest for heartworm treatment vs laying around for 23hrs a day and getting stoved up ending up in more pain and misery than he needs to be. So trying to get him to want to explore the house more and be out of his kennel. In the back yard he goes from door to door trying to get back in, doesnt matter if we are outside in the yard with him or not.
Just feel bad for him and hope I can get him perked up a bit
