🌈🐾 Happy Pet Memorial Day from Dewey & Pals 🐾🌈
Today, we’re honoring the pets who left paw prints on our hearts forever, especially the dog who inspired it all, Dewey. 💚
When I met Dewey, he was around 13 years old and was only supposed to be a foster. What I thought would be a temporary stop on his journey quickly turned into finding my soul dog.
Dewey was my co-pilot on countless backroad adventures, always with his head out the window and the biggest smile on his face. He patiently let me groom him however I wanted colorful mohawks, silly styles, and all. He was always happy to go along for the ride.
One of Dewey’s favorite things in the world was making friends. He loved every dog he met and was happiest when he was surrounded by his buddies. His love for his dog friends is actually where the “Pals” in Dewey & Pals came from. He never met a stranger human or canine.
But Dewey gave me so much more than fun memories. He helped me through some of my darkest days and brought back a light in me that I thought I’d lost. He reminded me of the joy, love, and purpose that animals bring into our lives. Because of him, I found the courage to turn my passion for animals into what is now Dewey & Pals.
We only had a few short years together, but his impact will last a lifetime. Every dog I care for, every adventure we take, and every friendship that blossoms between dogs carries a little piece of Dewey with it.
Forever loved, forever missed, and forever the heart behind Dewey & Pals. 💚🐾
