Greetings friends,

As we know- City Farm is a uniquely beautiful & magnificent oasis in Chicago (And the one of the largest urban farms in Chicago!) It’s a place where people grow food, build skills, and show up for each other. She’s home to very special native perennials, bugs, birds, and bees. We are striving to keep the space, the flora & fauna protected & keep our city full of our native wildlife.

Right now, we need your help to get our space cleaned up, safe, and ready for the upcoming season. We’re raising $2,500+ over the next two weeks days to get city farm ready for the next season. This will help fund a dumpster, trash removal, and fencing. Every dollar counts from $1-100! If you can, please donate what you can to to help us grow this season!
You can Venmo us at or Zelle us: 312.909.5523
•please write in the memo•

We understand if there’s no cash to spare- You can still help us out! We need as many people as possible to see our story. You can still make a huge difference by sharing our campaign on social media. A simple post, story, or message to a neighbor can unlock donations we’d never reach on our own. Use the hashtag and tag us so we can share your support🪲🐝🐞🐜🦟🪲🪳🐛

We have 30 days to meet our goal and with everyone pitching in we can help City Farm flourish. Thank you for being part of what makes City Farm possible!!

Let’s keep Chicago full of plants and pollinators 🌱

♥ Greetings friends ♥

Did you miss us 😝
Spring is creeping around the corner
And our farm team slowly awakens from our winter slumbers

We all slept A LOT but with the cold comes the only time for us get out of IL and on some adventures…

Robert spent time in the MotherLand🇲🇽 reconnecting to his roots, and Patrick joined him in Xochimilco. They cultivated their ancestors land, transplanting aselgas which have a deep culture. They learned about traditional methods of growing that are slowly being erased due to plastic pollution and over tourism in the area. These traditions ways are endangered along with the biodiversity of the area.

In Xochimilco and many areas of the world- we have a duty to preserve indigenous growing methods. Reconnecting to these roots help us understand how to sustainabily cultivate in this present time. We’re taking these lessons and applying them for us and our futures. These indigenous methods may feel fleeting, but we hold onto them tightly to help guide us in our growing forward!¡ This is our motivating spirit this season.

X visited the motherland 🇵🇷and shared time with our friend spending dear time cultivating the Boriken ancestral crops (more details on this later!) and grounding, connecting with his family.

Lua also went home 🇧🇷reconnecting with family, visiting her grandparents farm, going on magical horse rides. And she successfully completed the great American Road Trip from Chicago to California 🚙

Dani on the grand adventure learning from friends in 🇬🇹 immersing in the native agricultural systems, deepening understanding of these indigenous growing and doing some magical road tripping & hiking around the US too

and
Alyssa spent time in Asia 🇮🇩🇹🇭🇯🇵 trying to surf, eating fruit, hiking volcanoes, earth building in the , learning about collective farming in the mountains of Japan and relishing in the splendor of avoiding a chicago winter

But now…. the days get longer
The world is as intense and painful as ever
The world is heavy
We’re still tired
But our bodies are waking up
And we are planting seeds
