Servicemember seeking 10-month foster home for two bonded silkie roosters
Call or text Tricia at (407) 949-4862
I’m in the Army and have been living in Memphis with my two silkie chickens, SGT Pepper and Midnight. They are a bonded pair of roosters who love each other so much. They’re both extremely friendly, comfortable around people, and love cuddles.
I’m being sent to Great Lakes Station on short notice for approximately 10 months, and I’ve been desperately looking for somewhere in the area that would allow me to keep them. I have had to look for houses to buy with a backyard so that I could keep them, and my options are already so limited with most of the local ordinances prohibit chickens and roosters. I don’t know that I’ll be able to find a house by the time I get there now that time is running out before my start date of September 30.
I really don’t want to give them up, so I wanted to reach out and ask if anyone could possibly accommodate them temporarily for the duration of my assignment (9 months). I would be willing to pay a monthly fee of $50 to account for their food and housing.
Call or text Tricia at (407) 949-4862 if you would be able to do this or know someone who can. Thank you so much.

Need rental space for flock of 20 chickens, 1 duck

Back of the Yards neighborhood in Chicago.
My dad currently has 20 chickens and 1 duck and is looking for a place to rent where he can keep them. Ideally, the property would be in Chicago, near his current location, or slightly outside the city. We would prefer not to go north of Chicago if possible.

Our main goal is to keep the flock together. If anyone has leads, recommendations, or available space, we would be incredibly grateful.
