❤️ Something I Want to Say
Yes, I use AI to help me write sometimes.
I can talk dogs to the moon and back. 🐾 I know what I want to say. The knowledge, experience, opinions and thoughts are already in my head.
But writing is different for me.
Sometimes organizing my thoughts on paper is difficult. Sometimes I can't spell a word that I know how to spell. I can say exactly what I mean out loud, but getting those same thoughts into writing can be frustrating.
My brain simply processes speaking and writing differently.
AI has become a tool that helps me bridge that gap.
It doesn't give me my knowledge.
It doesn't give me my experience.
It doesn't decide what I believe.
It helps me communicate what's already mine.
And that's why jokes about someone using AI to write can hurt more than you realize.
People use tools and accommodations for all kinds of difficulties and disabilities. We don't always know what another person struggles with just by looking at them.
A tool that helps someone communicate should be treated with respect, not ridicule.
Before laughing at the way someone communicates, think about the person on the other side of the screen and how your words might affect them.
Needing help putting my thoughts into writing doesn't make those thoughts any less mine. It just means I've found a tool that helps me express them. ❤️
And I'm grateful that I have it.

🐾 Happy Home Update 🐾
Nothing makes my heart happier than getting messages like this. ❤️
“He is absolute perfection! We love him so much and Melody is growing used to him and they are starting to play more.”
And LOOK AT HIM. 😭😍 That sweet little face and all that fluff!
Seeing our babies loved, settled in, and becoming part of their new families is truly the best part of what I do. And hearing that Melody is warming up to her new little brother makes it even sweeter. 🥰
This is why I do what I do. ❤️🐾

Our hearts are heavy today. Despite doing everything we could, we sadly lost baby #1 from Julia and Astro’s Lucky Seven litter. 💔

Sometimes, even with constant care, love, and every effort possible, these tiny lives are simply too fragile. He was loved, held, and fought for every moment he was here.

Julia and her six remaining babies are doing well, and we are watching them very closely. Please keep this sweet family in your thoughts. 🕊️🐾

🐾 Why Heart Rocks Puppies Don’t Leave at 8 Weeks
In many states, 8 weeks is the earliest age a puppy can legally leave their breeder.
But earliest allowed and best time to go home are two very different things.
After nearly 17 years of raising Pomeranians, I believe 10 weeks should be the starting point—not 8 weeks.
And even then, the individual puppy decides the timeline.
Some puppies are confident, sturdy and completely ready to begin their new lives at 10 weeks. Others need another week or two. And some—especially our very tiny babies—may stay 12, 14 or even 16 weeks.
I don't look at the calendar and say, “You're 10 weeks old today, so you're ready to go.”
I look at the puppy in front of me.
Are they eating reliably? Are they maintaining themselves well? Are they confident and socially ready? How do they handle new experiences? How are they doing with short periods away from their littermates? What is their size and overall maturity?
And, most importantly:
Do I feel comfortable putting that baby into someone's arms and saying, “They're ready for you now”?
Those extra weeks aren't simply about physical maturity, either.
Puppies are still learning an incredible amount from their mother, littermates, the adult dogs around them and the people raising them.
They're learning bite inhibition and how to play appropriately. They're learning canine body language and boundaries. They're learning how to deal with frustration, how to recover when something surprises them, and how to become a little more independent while still having the security of everything familiar around them.
And they're certainly not sitting around waiting for pickup day. 😂
Our puppies are living life with us.
They're handled and loved every day. They experience brushing, nail trims, baths and blow dryers. They hear televisions, vacuums, doors, people, other dogs and all the normal commotion that comes with living in a home.
They're introduced to new experiences and different surfaces. They begin learning independence and spending short periods away from their littermates.
And those extra weeks give me something incredibly valuable, too:
More time to learn who that puppy really is.
I get to see who's fearless, who's thoughtful, who's independent, who's happiest curled up in someone's lap—and who's determined to investigate absolutely everything before remembering that humans exist. 😂
That matters.
I'm not placing a puppy with a family for the next few months. I'm hopefully helping choose someone's companion for the next 12–15+ years.
❤️ What about very tiny Pomeranians?
Being small isn't why every Heart Rocks puppy stays beyond eight weeks.
But size and physical maturity absolutely matter when deciding when an individual puppy is ready.
A very tiny Pomeranian may need considerably more time than a larger, sturdier puppy. Some of our smallest babies have stayed 12, 14 or even 16 weeks.
I'm never going to send a puppy home simply because the calendar says they're old enough.
There is no prize for getting a puppy out the door as quickly as possible.
And there's another concern I hear sometimes:
“But won't I miss the bonding period if my puppy stays with you longer?”
No. ❤️
You have a lifetime to build that bond.
There will still be plenty of puppy breath, kisses, zoomies, cuddles, stolen socks, ridiculous Pom antics and barking at things that apparently only your Pomeranian can see. 😂
Those additional weeks aren't taking anything away from your relationship.
They're part of preparing your puppy for that relationship.
My goal isn't simply to hand someone a beautiful, healthy Pomeranian.
It's to give each puppy as much of a foundation as I possibly can before I place that baby in someone's arms and send them off to begin the rest of their life.
Eight weeks may be the minimum allowed in many places.
Ten weeks is my minimum.
After that, the puppy tells me when they're ready. ❤️🐾

🍀✨ LUCKY 7 HAVE ARRIVED! ✨🍀
Julia & Astro have officially welcomed SEVEN beautiful little blessings into the Heart Rocks family! 🐾
🩷 4 precious girls
💙 3 handsome boys
📅 Born August 30–31, 2026
Julia did an absolutely amazing job bringing this big crew into the world. With seven tiny bodies all wanting Mama at once, we've done a little nursery shuffle to keep everyone comfortable and thriving. 🍼💕
💙 Baby #4 is spending some time with Auntie Luna, giving Julia a little more room to comfortably stretch out and nurse her crew.
🩷 Our teeny Baby #6 is hanging out with Auntie Kashmire, where she has fewer siblings to compete with at the milk bar. 😆
One of my favorite things about having multiple mamas together is watching them so naturally help one another. Around here, apparently it takes a village — and sometimes three Pomeranian mamas! 😂❤️
Everyone is nursing, snuggled in, and doing beautifully. Now I can finally sit back for a minute and soak in just how incredible these last couple of days have been.
Seven babies. One very proud mama. Our Lucky 7. 🍀🩷💙

Late last night and early this morning, Luna and Kashmire delivered five beautiful new babies! 🥹🐾💕

Luna welcomed two precious boys on Michael Jackson’s 68th birthday—of course, that means an MJ-inspired name is a must! 🎶✨

Then Kashmire followed early this morning with two gorgeous girls and one handsome little boy. 💗💗💙

Both mamas and all five babies are doing wonderfully. It was a long night here at Heart Rocks Poms, but these sweet little faces made every minute worth it! 🥰

Welcome to the world, little ones! 🐾❤️

🪵🏒 THE LUMBER YARD HAS OFFICIALLY OPENED 🏒🪵
Mackenzie × Legend apparently understood the assignment a little too well. 😂
FOUR puppies.
FOUR BOYS.
ZERO girls.
Mackenzie said, “You wanted a Lumber Yard? I’ll give you a whole crew.” 🤣🪵
Mama Mackenzie is doing wonderful, the four little boys are settling in, and Daddy Legend can be very proud of himself. 💙
So naturally, there was only ONE possible name for this litter…
🪵 THE LUMBER YARD 🪵
Four brand-new Heart Rocks boys have officially joined the team. 🐾🏒
And now comes my favorite part…
Naming the Lumber Yard lineup. 😏
Something tells me these boys are about to have some VERY suspiciously hockey-related names. 😂🏒💙❤️
