Did you know…
Pets Come First is a non-profit organization, Adoption Center. We rely on fundraising and donations to keep the doors open and the animals fed. Because of a tight budget and limited space, we have to utilize a waiting list for animal surrenders. We ask that while you are on our wait list, or before making the decision to surrender your pet, that you check with your friends and fam
ily to see if they can help re-home the dog or cat. Ultimately it is the owner’s responsibility to find their pet a new home. We are very lucky to have a great shelter and be able to take in as many animals as we can, but sadly we only have so much space! We ask that you be patient when calling and leaving a message or requesting information. Feeding, walking and cleaning up after the animals is our #1 priority. If you have cruelty issues or concerns, please have the animal vetted if possible in an emergency, or call PCF for the cruelty agent’s information. If you find a lost dog or cat, please take the animal to a vet to check for a micro-chip first, then contact PCF, 3WZ, your local police station and Lyons Kennel to file a “found” report. We will also share Lost and Found postings on our page to help spread the word! If you have a legal issue with an animal, please call your local or state police. If you suspect abuse of an animal, please call your local police department as well. By law, an animal is required to have food, water and shelter. We wish we could do it all, but we need your help! Help us help them. If you would like to volunteer, please visit our website www.petscomefirst.net and fill out the volunteer form. To make a monetary donation, you can also visit the website. We are closed to the public except Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 pm. Those are open cat hours only. People interested in dogs must do
an approved application and make an appointment. Supply donations can be dropped off in our shed behind the shelter any time between 8 am and 4:30 pm or left at the front or back door. Thank you all! ♥ ♥ ♥
