Can you say STALLION PROSPECT?! 😍

HEZA DUSTED DUN “Zeus” is an EE DD, panel negative grullo stud c**t, and this boy has so much going for him!

Zeus is not only handsome, but such a sweetheart. He is halter broke, stands tied, stands for the farrier, baths and haircuts. He has been handled from day one and has that good mind and disposition that we put so much importance on here at Corbett Creek Ranch.

And then there’s his pedigree! ❤️

Zeus is high foundation bred and carries some of those good old foundation Quarter Horse bloodlines throughout his papers. His pedigree includes Reeds Zan Kid, Reeds High Shine, Mr Okie Poco, PJS Sweet King Joya, Snow Jack Pococito and Poco Tejana.

His sire, Shining C R Vandyke, has proven himself not only with his disposition, but through his offspring as well, producing AQHA, ABRA and IBHA World and Congress Champions and Reserve World Champions.

Zeus should mature around 15.1–15.2 hands, giving him the size, bone, pedigree, disposition AND color to make one heck of a stallion prospect.

Dear Small Breeder…. I see you!

I see you pouring your heart and soul into those mares praying for a good heartbeat check.

I see you, missing family gathering because a mare needs bred. Or one is about to foal.

I see you, sleepless nights hoping nothing goes wrong at foaling time.

I see you, crying because you lost a foal, mare or both.

I see you standing over that prize yearling, that just broke its leg.

I see you, struggling wondering which incentives to pay into. Because everyone wants them all paid into every incentive possible.

I see you, as you are saying goodbye to the old mare that started it all… wondering if you should keep going.

I see you, struggling on which mare to breed to which stallion to hopefully make someone’s super star!

I see you, smiling because it all went right this time!

I see you, smiling because someone called to tell you how much they love that foal you raised. And it is their heart horse!

Keeping going small breeder! Because without you, there are a lot of people missing out on that once in a life time horse.

Today we said goodbye to a very special old girl. 💔🐴

Lil Hubba Shutdown lived an incredible 30 human years—that’s about 120 horse years! She lived a great life and received every ounce of love we could possibly give her.

She gave us some fabulous babies over the years, and then spent the last 10 years enjoying the retirement she deserved—eating good, getting loved on, and being the best yard ornament anybody could ever ask for. ❤️

Thirty years is a blessing, but somehow it still doesn’t feel long enough. Lil Hubba Shutdown will be missed by so many, but I’m going to especially miss looking out every day and seeing her there. She was simply part of our everyday life, and it’s going to feel very different without her.

Run free, sweet old girl. 🐴 You earned your rest. Thank you for the babies, the memories, and 30 wonderful years. You were loved right up until the very end. ❤️
