…Another old lady gone before we were ready! She didn’t make it through her bought with colitis despite all efforts by us and our vets the last 4 days around the clock 😭
She and Mona were really tight so this just feels so crazy—-timing wise.
Most Clydesdales are fortunate to see 20 years, and our Lucky girl just about did. She was in amazing health and shape until this last week—-so her passing is super unexpected and frustrating even though she did live a good long lifespan. We love her so much—- she was one of those rare horses who wanted to be with you so bad and lived to be right with you. She loved Mona and especially loved this mare we have named Belle. Watch the video where Lucky follows us around like a liberty act or something! She had her beautiful blue eyes that always got people’s attention and wouldn’t hurt a fly! True gentle giant. She’s not replaceable, she was born this way. She always had a slight roached back so she looked best in the saddle 🤪
We are so sad for this loss. But we are grateful for her life and all the people she brought joy to!
