๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿพ Pet owners, before letting your furry friend play outside, make sure you do a little pet-proofing!

๐Ÿ‘€ Lawns and gardens can be hazardous if they've been fertilized or sprayed with pesticides, or if garden additives have been used. Make sure to choose pet-safe products and keep curious pets from ingesting fertilizers or repellents.

๐Ÿšซ Also, watch out for toxic plants like lilies, azaleas, sago palms, and tulips. Monitor your pets while outside or transplant these plants to a safer area.๐Ÿ‘Œ

The earliest signs of immune-mediated blood disease often look like ordinary tiredness, which is exactly why these conditions catch families off guard. Learn the subtle changes that warrant a call to us, and how prompt evaluation protects your pet.

Encouraging your dog to bark on command might seem counterproductive, but it can be a useful tool in training them to be quiet.

Speak up โ€” First, find a stimulus that naturally makes your dog bark. It could be a knock on the door, a doorbell sound, or someone saying โ€œSpeak.โ€ When your dog barks, reward them with praise and a treat.

Shut it down โ€” Next, say โ€œQuietโ€ or another cue you choose, and offer a treat when your dog stops barking. Gradually increase the amount of time between barks before you give the โ€œQuietโ€ cue.

Combine the cues โ€” Finally, practice the โ€œSpeakโ€ and โ€œQuietโ€ cues together until your dog can bark and then stop on command. This will give you more control over your dogโ€™s barking and help them understand when itโ€™s appropriate to bark and when they should be quiet.

๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿง… Beware of onions, garlic, and chives if you're a pet owner!

๐Ÿพ Although these herbs may add flavor to your meals, they can be TOXIC to your furry friends and cause red blood cell damage. Garlic is the most poisonous of the three and can cause vomiting, weakness, nausea, and collapse. So, be careful and keep these ingredients away from your pets!๐Ÿšซ
