A special delivery marked: handle with care. 🤲 Hardy needs YOU to help him through the next part of his journey.
Yesterday, Hardy was delivered to Aggieland Humane Society from the Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital after being hit by a car and receiving initial emergency medical care.
And guys, despite everything he’s been through, Hardy is being a friendly, tail-wagging pup. In the exam room, he kept pressing up against everyone for love and searching every pocket for treats. It didn’t take long for us to realize that while his body might be broken, his spirit is truly unbreakable. That’s why we named him Hardy - for his resilience, strength, and determination to keep going despite everything he’s endured.
So, first things first, it’s looking like Hardy needs not one, but TWO separate surgeries. We are currently working with an orthopedic specialist, but here’s what we know so far:
▪️Conservatively, Hardy’s medical care and recovery could cost between $2,000 and $5,000, if not more
▪️We estimate that he will need approximately 2 months to recover in foster care (thankfully, a foster has already stepped up!)
▪️And it doesn't stop at his injuries. X-rays show Hardy has been suffering from hip dysplasia for who knows how long and needs care to live a pain-free life
