Clinton County Humane Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We do not receive funds from any taxes or associations.

We rely solely on charitable donations and fundraisers to support our organization. Appointments can be made outside our public hours for adoptions. You are more than welcome to come in during our public hours to see the animals, please note that not all animals may be available at that time. You can go to our Petfinder page through our website ccilhs.org to see our available animals. Adoption app

lications can be filled out at the building or by going to our website ccilhs.org/forms to be considered for an adoptions. We are also available by sending us a DM on Facebook. We do offer meet and greets - please check our page for last minute changes or cancellations. These are to allow you to see all of our available animals at one time and adopt right away. We are run mostly on volunteers, so please be patient in the process of adopting.

😻HOW YOU CAN SEE THEM: Stop by anytime during our public hours 8-11 am Monday- Saturday and 6:30-8:30 pm Monday -Friday. You can look, but might not be able to adopt right then and there unless you make an appointment with feline officer or attend a cat meet and greet. You can fill out an application at the building or online at ccilhs.org

⁉️Did you know that June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month?!?
It is designed to coincide with the peak of "kitten season", this observance highlights the massive influx of cats and kittens entering shelters. It is the purr-fect time to find a furry companion, as adopting frees up critical shelter space and helps save lives.
Why June? Late spring and summer are the height of feline breeding season.

‼️ During this time, shelters and rescues are frequently overwhelmed with new litters. By stepping up this month, you help alleviate the heavy burden placed on local facilities. Here are some ways to help…

🚨ADOPT: Add a new feline family member to your home. It doesn’t have to be a young kitten. Fact: many older cats get overlooked because of kitten season. We have several cats available that were last year’s kittens that were overlooked. They have spent a whole year in a kennel.

🚨 DONATE: Provide much-needed supplies like Purina Kitten Chow (yellow bag) and Purina Cat Chow (blue bag) safe for all ages, clumping litter, and canned Pate’ food to keep mom and kittens healthy and hydrated. Monetary donations will help pay for these items as well as vetting costs to make/keep them healthy as well as getting everyone spayed/neutered before adoptions.

🚨 SPREAD THE WORD: Share adoptable pets on your social media channels to increase their visibility.

Spay and neuter your own animals. Find resources available to help others in need.

Congrats to these three kittens on their adoptions yesterday. We appreciate everyone that has been adopting from CCHS especially lately because we are so full!!

Bowser is waiting so patiently to finally go home.. 💔 He really is such a good dog. Walks fairly gentle and well on leash. Housebroken. Kennel trained. Very dog friendly. Doesnt bother the chicken coop. Kennel trained. Mellow and low/medium energy!

Join us TODAY (Sat. June 13) from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM! Whether you are looking for a playful kitten or a calm, cuddly adult cat, we have the purr-fect companion waiting for you. Most of our adult cats have been here since last summer when they were the kitten! Please consider adopting a young kitty, but not as tiny as a kitten! The older ones will have a reduced adoption fee to help get them a better chance to finally get out of their kennels!

You can fill out application at building or prior at ccilhs.org All are already fixed and fully vetted. We give discount on second adoption if adopting more than one!! 😊 we will have more available after Saturday when they get fixed! Stay tuned for more cuteness!!

WANT TO COME LATER ON FRIDAY INSTEAD?? Send us a message and we will set up a time. We will be there for sure on Friday morning from 9-10:30 am, but can set up a different time that works for you!!

Can meet but can’t take it home that day?? We can hold it for a couple more days for you. So come pick one out, do the paperwork, and pick up later!!
