Going In Style got the green light from our vet to have small paddock access! Harry, as we call him, is approaching his fifth month of rehabilitation for his sesamoid fracture. Stall rest can be so tough on these guys sometimes, we always look forward to when they can have a little freedom, it is such a much needed mental reset.
This cheeky gelding will be available as a companion/light riding horse when his rehabilitation is complete.

😇 Angels Can Fly 🕊️

After being adopted for four years, Angel returned to us in March. Angel has bounced back to the beautiful mare she once was and is now seeking a special home.

Angel is 9 years old and originally retired from racing in 2022 due to a slab fracture on her right knee. Recent X-rays show expected arthritic change, but nothing that inhibits a trail/pleasure job. Angel is on the shorter, stouter side standing at 15.2 hands. She has remained sound and barefoot. She is very easy going, stellar manners on the ground. She is turned out with our main herd and gets along with everyone. She has recently been brought back to work with the focus on developing strength and conditioning.

If you are looking for a casual, low maintenance type of girl, Angel is for you!

Adoption fee is $1500

Meet Humble Joe 🐴

At just 6 years old, Humble Joe has already had quite the racing career making $160,341 with 43 starts. Unfortunately, he sustained a hind leg injury in the paddock, and he’s now beginning his next chapter with us as we focus on his rehabilitation and recovery.

His impressive size (16.2 and half) is matched perfectly by his sweet nature—Joe is truly a gentle giant with a kind eye and an even kinder personality. We’re excited to spend time getting to know him, helping him heal, and guiding him toward a successful second career.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this special boy—and eventually help him find the loving forever home he deserves. Stay tuned for updates on Humble Joe’s progress! 💙

What an unforgettable Kentucky Derby fundraiser! 🏇✨

The excitement of this year’s Derby — especially that unbelievable finish — made the evening even more special for all of us who dedicate our lives to retired racehorses. Watching the heart, determination, and athleticism on display reminded us exactly why these horses deserve love, care, and safe futures long after their racing careers end.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we are thrilled to share that we raised just over $2,000 for the retired racehorses in our care. Every donation, ticket purchase, and shared post will help provide feed, medical care, rehabilitation, and second chances to horses transitioning into their next chapter.

Thank you for celebrating Derby Day with purpose and for helping us continue our mission for these amazing horses. 💙
