The Sandcastle Labradoodles’ 2026 puppy reunion & meet-and-greet was more like a furry version of the Oscars hosted at a backyard barbecue smokehouse. 🐾🎬🍖
Where 25 puppies, 15+ humans, one heroic water bowl lifeguard, and approximately 10 pounds of smoked brisket collided in glorious chaos. 😂🐶
Wednesday’s Sandcastle Labradoodles authentic Australian Labradoodle puppy meet-and-greet/family reunion proved one thing:
Nobody actually came for “networking.”
They came for:
🐾 Puppy cuddles
🍖 Wagyu smoked brisket from Texas
📖 Possible autograph sightings from Bella, the bear fighting hero Labradoodle
👀 And maybe the chicken curry salad that somehow contained next to zero detectable curry
v Celebrity attendees included:
v Grand Dame Flower, the matriarch and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to all but 3 of the doggies in attendance … still reigning supreme and GORGEOUS at 16 years young
v Sweet Summer Breeze, now retired and celebrating no more babies to raise
v Mickie Doodle, named after her grandmother, Flower’s mother, Mikaela, carrying the torch of pure bred, never infused, authentic Tegan Park Australian Labradoodles like a queen, aware of her royal blood
v Georgia Peach, who spent the ENTIRE event staring at her human like:
“That’s MY momma. Back away slowly, people.”
v Meanwhile Scooter, just 1 day short of his 12-week birthday, honed his Olympic swim team training skills when he interpreted the freshly filled doggie water bowl as:
“Excellent. A private resort pool has been prepared in my honor.” 💦
v The puppies, just ONE day shy of 12 weeks old, roamed around like tiny, adorable and cuddly teddy bears. And Jimmy, who went home just TWO days ago, returned acting like:
“Yes, yes, I remember my siblings… but where is my HUMAN mother? I have abandonment issues to discuss.”
So many priceless memories made, but one of the sweetest moments:
David H leading a round of applause for Bella, the human momma protecting Bear Warrior. Honestly, the applause was so heartfelt even the Labradoodles briefly stopped wrestling. Briefly.
Special shoutout to QualTool’s Sherry, the behind-the-scenes wizard who helped make this whole event happen. Every circus needs a ringmaster. Every puppy reunion needs Sherry. 🏆
Final lesson learned:
Next reunion, hire an independent professional photographer.
Because apparently photographing 25 moving Labradoodles with a phone camera creates images that look like blurry Bigfoot sightings. 📸😂
Thank you to everyone who came:
Dave & Kathy with Molly, Dianne with Georgia Peach, Mary with Happy & Sunny, Barbara with Cooper, Barbara P with Fiona, Jazzy & Prince Peanut, Mary Lou with Pepper, Kathy R with Bella & Jimmy, Mike S with Buddy & Mickey, Joan with Flower & Breezy, Ginger, Sherry, Rod, several amazing QualTool employees, and Tim & Jan with Chip, Angel, Marmee, Coco, Copper and the puppy tornado crew: Larry, Scooter, Angel Pea, Cassie & Lovey.
If you’ve ever wondered whether an authentic Australian Labradoodle can steal your heart…
The answer is yes.
Also your lawn chair.
And possibly your brisket. 🐾 🐾 🤣😂
