Sweet Senior Alert: Help Blade Find His True Forever Retirement Home! 🐾❤️

Meet Blade, our gorgeous 13-year-old Siberian Husky who is looking for a soft place to land and a family to love for his golden years.

Blade's story started out a bit scary—he was found by our officers wandering the streets, narrowly avoiding being hit by a car. He was safely brought to the safety of our shelter, but sadly, despite our very best efforts to contact his owner, no one ever came back for him. Blade didn't let that break his spirit, though! He is a resilient, incredibly gentle old soul who is fully vetted and completely ready to find a peaceful retirement home.

Here is what you need to know about this handsome gentleman:

Age: ~13 years young (A certified silver fox!)

Personality: Extremely laid-back, sweet, and majestic.

Dog Friendly: Yes! He is dog-friendly and would do well with a calm canine companion to lounge around with.

Health: Fully vetted (neutered and up-to-date on vaccines). Please note: His heartworm status is currently unknown.

Special Note: Blade is hard of hearing, which just means he focuses even more on your love, hand signals, and visual cues. He is incredibly easygoing and just wants a cozy bed to sleep on.

At 6 years old, this American Pit Bull Terrier mix has a stunning brindle-and-white coat. Her past has a few tough chapters—originally adopted from another facility years ago without being spayed, it is clear she has raised multiple litters. This sweet face belongs to Taco, and he desperately needs a hero. 💔

Taco is an 8-year-old senior Chihuahua who has clearly been through a lot in his life, yet he remains incredibly gentle. He arrived at the shelter in rough shape and is currently Rescue Only while he gets the medical attention he deserves. He is not available for public adoption at this time.

Taco is facing a handful of medical hurdles that require the resources of a rescue partner:

Mass on Front Foot: He has a noticeable mass on his right front foot that needs evaluation and biopsy/removal.

Severe Dental Disease: He has advanced dental issues and is in dire need of a full dental cleaning and likely extractions to get him out of pain.

Potential Luxating Patella: He is showing signs of a potential luxating patella (a floating or slipping kneecap), which will need a veterinary assessment to determine if it requires management or surgical repair.

Hair Loss: He has patchy hair loss that will need diagnostic testing (skin scrapings/bloodwork) to determine the underlying cause.

Despite his current medical needs, Taco has so much love left to give. He deserves to spend his golden years sleeping on a soft dog bed, feeling safe, loved, and comfortable, not in a shelter kennel.

We are looking for a registered 501(c)(3) rescue organization that can pull Taco and provide him with the veterinary care and comfort he so urgently needs.
