We have been working with the husky mixes from Clare county that were found in a home with their deceased owner.
They are absolutely petrified. Everything they had ever known was flipped upside down. They were living their life with their owner when all of a sudden they were ripped out of their home with catch poles, which is freaky in itself, and then dragged into a scary shelter, only to get to me, two get away from animal control so now we have to chase and trapā¦so yea, I donāt ask myself WHY they are petrified, I ask myself WHY WOULDNāT THEY BE.
They arenāt mean or aggressive or growling. They are just in flight mode. Trying to find their way in this crazy world.
I know these guys will be hard to place. Itās why I rescue these kind of dogs. They were already threatened to be euthanized by the shelter so here we areā¦.five petrified dogs that everyone wants me to rescue but nobody wants to adopt.
We call this guy Maple. Heās the most confident one and tries to protect the rest so unfortunately we had to separate them. He was doing too good of a job of being the protector but we want him to feel safe himself. Loved. Cared for. Adored. We need an adopter. A fence is a must.
These dogs always come around with a little protocol but we need some heroes to step up. Quieter homes. Homes without any dogs. We make sure we see you through it all, keep in contact with progress and will send over a trainer if need a little tweaking. We are a very supportive rescue that wants to see you succeed in training any dog.
Maple would love to be in a home getting all of the love and support that he desperately needs and wants š
