My heart is so full šŸ’›

Lacy made it safely to South Carolina and is already settling in with her new family and horse friend. Her new owner is completely in love with her—especially that adorable little trot 🐓✨

And sweet Bruno headed off to his new home tonight. He hit the jackpot with an incredible family—a vet to care for him and a little boy who is already head over heels in love. He’ll be the perfect companion for their horse. The moment that melted me most… their youngest asked if he could ride in the back with Bruno on the way home 🄹 (don’t worry—parents said no for the long trip!)

So happy for these two minis and the families who get to love them now. This is why we do what we do šŸ’•

Lacy’s ride is here and she’s officially headed off on her new adventure to South Carolina with her new person šŸ’•

While we’re going to miss this sweet girl so much, we know she’s going to absolutely love her new home and life as a companion. Safe travels to Lacy and her wonderful hauler!

We can’t say enough good things about this hauler — she’s transported several of our horses to their new homes and always takes such great care of them. We highly recommend her to any out-of-state trips adopters!

Wishing Lacy all the happiness in the world in her next chapter 🐓✨

We are feeling incredibly grateful and just had to share a heartfelt thank you šŸ’›

To the angel donor who covered Shelby’s hospital bill—and also stepped in when Mae was hospitalized with colic—there truly aren’t words big enough to express what that means to us. In moments that felt overwhelming and uncertain, your kindness lifted such a heavy weight off our shoulders. You didn’t just help financially—you gave us peace of mind, hope, and the ability to focus on caring for them when they needed it most. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

We also want to extend a huge thank you for the donor sponsoring Cooper’s teeth float. Dental care is so important, and your support ensures he’s comfortable and healthy. If it turns out he needs additional work, like extractions, knowing there may be continued support means the world to us.

We are beyond blessed to have such compassion and generosity surrounding us and our animals. Thank you for being part of their journey and for caring as deeply as you do šŸ“šŸ’›

Y’all… just look at Magic today. He doesn’t even look like the same baby we first brought home from the auction.

We’ve had him since 2024, when he was only 8 months old and fighting for his life. He was extremely sick—hospitalized for two weeks with a collapsed lung, abscesses throughout his body, and severe pneumonia. There were moments we truly thought we were going to lose him.

But Magic had other plans. He fought, he healed, and he pulled through stronger than we could’ve ever imagined.

Today, he’s not just surviving—he’s thriving. He’s become our ranch ambassador, spreading joy to everyone he meets alongside Mike, and helping us raise awareness in the most special way.

We’re so proud of how far he’s come… and so grateful we get to share his story. ā¤ļø

Good news!

BREAKING: Today, the US House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee advanced language that would bar the transportation of horses for slaughter for human consumption in the US and abroad.

Each year, more than 20,000 American horses are trucked to slaughterhouses in Canada and Mexico, where they are brutally butchered for their meat using ineffective stunning methods that can leave them conscious during dismemberment.

The bipartisan amendment to the Committee’s five-year surface transportation reauthorization bill, led by Congressman Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) and Congresswoman Dina Titus (D-NV), would close the legal loophole that permits this practice, achieving the same policy goal as the Save America’s Forgotten Equines (SAFE) Act.

AWI joins the ASPCA, Return To Freedom, Wild Horse Conservation, The Wild Beauty Foundation, and advocates throughout the country in urging Congress to bring this widely supported measure across the finish line.

Lucky has become quite the pro at bath time—he loves getting dirty, so he’s had plenty of practice! Today was extra special though… he got braids, and we think he knows just how handsome he looks šŸ’™

Lucky is truly one of a kind. He’s always the first to greet the other horses, letting out a friendly neigh no matter what he’s doing—whether they’re coming into the barn or heading out to pasture. He never misses a chance to say hello.

He’s a gentle giant with a heart of gold who absolutely adores attention—and he’ll make sure you don’t forget to give it to him! While Lucky is no longer rideable, he would make the perfect pasture companion for another horse who needs a friend.

Lucky is ready for a special person of his own. If you or someone you know is looking for a loving companion horse, please reach out or send them our way. He deserves a home where he can be cherished every single day šŸ’›
