🐶 FIVE MORE PUPPIES. 🥲

Pepper’s babies are officially looking for homes. Their mama (photo in comments) has done an amazing job raising them, and now it’s their turn to find families of their own before they grow up in a shelter kennel. We are unsure who dad is, but we are sure these babies deserve better than spending their puppyhood here.

✨ Around 6 weeks old
✨ First vaccines and deworming done
✨ 2 males & 3 females
✨ Sweet, playful, curious little babies

Right now they are still tiny enough to think this place is fun. We don’t want them getting older here and learning kennel life instead of couch naps, toys scattered across living rooms, and what it feels like to belong to someone.

We desperately need fosters or adopters willing to commit once they are old enough for their spay/neuter appointments. Even fostering helps tremendously and gives them a chance to grow up in a home environment instead of a run at the shelter.

Please help us get these babies out before the shelter becomes the only life they know. 🖤🐾

⚠️ RABIES ALERT ⚠️

A skunk in our area has tested POSITIVE for rabies. Please take this seriously and make sure your pets are CURRENT on their rabies vaccinations. Rabies is fatal once symptoms appear and can affect pets, livestock, wildlife, and humans.

🐾 What you should do:
• Check your dog’s and cat’s rabies vaccine records TODAY
• Keep pets supervised outdoors
• Avoid contact with wildlife, especially animals acting strangely, stumbling, unusually aggressive, or overly friendly
• Do not allow pets to roam
• Report suspicious wildlife to Animal Control or local authorities

Even indoor pets are at risk if a rabid animal gets into garages, porches, barns, or homes.

Low-cost rabies clinics are often available locally, and keeping your pets vaccinated is not only important for their safety — it is required by South Carolina law.

Please help protect your pets, your family, and our community by staying proactive. 🖤

The South Carolina Department of Public Health reported three dogs were exposed to a rabid skunk in Abbeville County.
