We are a small group and entirely run by unpaid volunteers who are committed to the rescue of sick, ill-treated and unwanted cats and to find them safe and loving homes. Before setting up LCR we were volunteers for another animal charity. We have many years' experience of cat welfare work between us in all areas, for example, hand rearing kittens, trapping, daily care, administering medicines, fos
tering, fundraising, etc. We are registered charity number 1212869. We have high standards of care, an ethos which prioritises the cats and kittens, and we work with a team of exemplary vets and vet nurses at Springfield vets. We try to help whenever we can, but we are a very small group of volunteers and at present more people are bringing in unwanted and abandoned cats than are offering to give them homes. Our pens are full and other cats are waiting. No cat is ever put to sleep unless a vet advises that nothing more can be done. We vaccinate, microchip, spay and neuter all cats over 4 months old before they go to new owners. PLEASE NOTE: We have a policy of not re-homing to busy roads. This is purely for the safety of the cats in our care: we want them to go on to have the happiest and longest lives possible.
