Say hello to Dylan, a 4.5 year-old Dutch Shepherd with a lovely nature, a sharp mind and a big love for life! 🐕❤️

Dylan’s walks usually come with one essential accessory… a stick! 🪵😂 He loves agility, man trailing and group walks with his friends. He’s also incredibly cuddly and wonderfully loyal. Life is simply better with Dylan in it!

Meet Maddie 🐾

Hello, I’m Maddie, a.k.a. The Mad One! 😜

I’m nearly 9 years old, and I joined BAGSD Reading just before my first birthday. By then, I’d grown out of the cute puppy phase and had transformed into a rather barky little monster, terrorising the neighbourhood one woof at a time! 😂

Luckily, my humans joined BAGSD too, and with lots of training, patience and a little bit of hard work, I soon became the well-behaved companion they always dreamed of.

These days, I love taking part in all the activities at BAGSD and I’m always excited to meet up with my doggy friends—and their humans too! Although, if I’m being completely honest, I’m especially pleased to see the humans who happen to be carrying nice treats. 🐾😋

Meet Ōkami 🐾

Ōkami, our 6.5 year-old Blue German Shepherd and a newer member of the BAGSD family.

Ōkami is a cheerful, cheeky girl with a talent for getting exactly what she wants - especially when it comes to treats! During the day, she works from home with Mum, helping to implement banking systems while providing top quality emotional support. She’s incredibly loved by everyone who meets her, and we wouldn’t have her any other way.

She’s really enjoying our weekend walks and is learning so much from her fellow BAGSD doggy friends. At home, she’s obsessed with her toys - especially the new one she gets from her grandparents almost every week! Safe to say, she’s completely spoiled!

Ōkami absolutely adores both Mum and Dad and loves spending every moment she can with us. She’s happiest when we’re all together, whether that’s out on an adventure or relaxing at home. The highlight of her day is when Dad gets home from work - she greets him with endless excitement, and for those first few minutes, nothing else in the world matters. Her love for us is unconditional, and she’s truly a treasured member of our family ❤️❤️🐾🐾❤️❤️

Meet Leo 🐾❤️🐾

Leo is a 7-year-old White German Shepherd and a much-loved member of the BAGSD family.

During the week, Leo joins me at work, helping teach bushcraft to primary school children. He’s gentle, playful, and always happy to stop for a cuddle. When it comes to treats, liver is his absolute favourite, although he’ll never say no to anything meaty!

We’ve been part of BAGSD since Leo was just 10 weeks old, and he’s loved every minute. Whether it’s obedience, agility, mantrailing, or our Saturday group walks, Leo is always ready for the next adventure.

Calling all GSD puppy owners or those looking at getting a lovely GSD puppy or even just any GSD owner… Reading BAGSD will be running obedience classes starting September 2026 at our main base St. Mary Magdalene hall in Tilehurst, but we will be training at Prospect Park on Monday evenings from the 27th July. All German Shepherds are welcome please do get in touch. We also do Group social walks at the weekends but you do need to be actively coming to the training sessions to be able to attend the walks… there is Agility on Sundays in the summer and we also offer Man trailing.
