The girls at home had laid out this for Hourman and Katie on their arrival home... we love our team here ###

Corach is a little miffed .
In all the stables I’ve worked the love for the horses and the comradeship takes racing to a special place . I think that’s why people who have to leave the sport miss it .
I always wish that the TV cameras could go into the security stables and capture the dedication, respect for the horses and show it to every one, it’s an extraordinary experience. Naively I beleive there is work ethic above money and that’s what makes it extraordinary.
Some of travelling head lads from all over the British and Irish Isles create a care for the horse that humbles me .
Ok I’ll go in with Corachs glasses to show it .

A super day at Hexham Racecourse with two winners and two seconds.

Finisk Pride got the ball rolling in the staying novice hurdle, showing plenty of stamina in the closing stages. This was a first winner for Celtic Corporate Partnership, congratulations to Andrew, Martin, Colin and Steven and here is to many more.

Hourman's win was the one hundredth winner for Sue Howell and it made Katie's day: Katie rides Hourman at home and has transformed him this season. It brought up a double for Derek as well as the team here.

Circle Of Steel's second place in Hourman's race was celebrated as if a winner. Although showing ability in two bumpers, Steel has been a slow learner of jumping technique, and he has to practice most days. Owners Mike and Donal have seen all the videos, good and bad so shared the delight of a good round of hurdling. Again credit to his home rider, Danny who really gets on with this slightly odd young horse.

Along with Charlotte, Danny, also rides Wal Bucks at home, and this stayers brave second over an inadequate three miles was notable.

Well done to all the team here and thank you to the travelling staff who had a long day on the road.

We are always looking at ways to push forward. We are lucky that the The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies often use our horses for studies and we also conduct in house trials. This is a super example....

What a run from Tuppence under Lucas Murphy. A free going filly, Tuppence is not straightforward but stayed on determinedly to win for Lucas' grandfather Ray Green.
Well done to all connections and particularly Megan who has worked hard on Tuppence at home.
