IMPORTANT ‼️🚨
We just wanted to inform you all that we have had a new livery that has unfortunately tested positive for strangles today despite coming in with a negative guttural pouch test. He has been with us for nearly 2 weeks now but he had gone into isolation in line with our policy and hasn’t come in to contact with any other horses on the yard but we are wanting to be open and honest about it to stop any rumours starting. We are taking all the usual precautions and the school ponies and horses are having their temperatures taken twice a day along with all the others on the yard and none have shown any signs of infection or temperature. We will be doing this for the next two weeks per the vet’s instructions and have been given the all clear to carry on with lessons as normal by them.
