A very sad goodbye to our beautiful Kiki 💔🐾
It breaks my heart to have to share that we said goodbye to our beautiful girl Kiki yesterday. 💔
Many of you will know Kiki, as she was such a big part of my little business. She was my first customer greeter, my constant companion and, most importantly, the boss of the house! She welcomed so many of your dogs into our home and was loved by so many of them—and by all of you.
Kiki had been diagnosed with IMHA a few weeks ago. Thankfully, she responded really well to treatment and her blood count had returned to normal. We really believed she was getting better.
Sadly, she suddenly became desperately poorly and deteriorated very quickly. We rushed her to the emergency vets, but despite everything they did, they couldn't stabilise her. We went back to be with her and made the heartbreaking decision to let her go peacefully. We stayed with her until the end, so she wasn't alone. ❤️
We are absolutely heartbroken. She was only 11 and we really thought we had so much more time with her.
I know many of you will have your own memories of Kiki—whether she greeted you at the door, watched your dog arrive for a stay, or simply sat looking gorgeous while I was grooming. 🥰 She was such a gentle, special girl and she will be hugely missed.
I also want to apologise in advance if I'm a little quiet or emotional over the next few days. Please bear with me while we try to come to terms with losing our girl.
Thank you to every single person who loved Kiki, fussed her, brought her treats, or simply knew her. She really was a very lucky dog to have been so loved. ❤️
Run free beautiful Kiki. You were, and always will be, my girl. 🌈🐾
