*UPDATE*

I am pleased to report that Jordan (lovely bloke) from Midlands Reptile Rescue has driven up today to do a reccy around the shop and we have shaken hands on the shop fit leaving next Thursday (10th Sept).

I have also thrown in the baby units and the remaining rack systems (V70 and V35), three Vivexotic vivs used for holidaying animals plus any shelving for dry goods or storage.

I wish him the very best and I am relieved as I can now get on with decorating the shop and getting ready for my REPTA job.

He even brought me a bottle of Wh**ky as a thankyou, so I consider that a thoroughly fair swap.

At least when i'm on the road I can call in and it will be like a home from home haha.

Very old photo of this Black Rat Snake he’s put on a lot of weight since then💪

He’s looking for a new home who I’ve had for a good while. He was reserved for a long time that’s why he wasn’t up for adoption.

He’s a fairly big guy so deserves lots of space!

Royal pythons are unfortunately one of the most surrendered snakes in the UK..

They’re bred in such huge numbers that we see a lot of them ending up in rescues, and sadly many of them can be waiting a very, very long time for the right home

Which is a real shame because royal pythons really are amazing snakes

They have so much character and, 90% of the time, they’re incredibly friendly and easy to handle! Once they settle in and you get to know them, they can be such rewarding snakes to have around🙌

I think sometimes people overlook the more traditional morphs because there are so many different colours and patterns available now, but these snakes deserve a settled home just as much

If you’re thinking about getting a snake and you’ve never considered a royal python, they’re definitely worth looking into & if you need help with their care drop me a message

They can make a fantastic choice for the right person/family, providing you’re prepared to give them the correct care, space and commitment they need
