🚨 VET WARNING: THE HEAT KILLS 🚨

Please save your dog's life today by choosing the couch over the pavement. Missing a walk won't hurt your dog, but exercising in this heat can be fatal. Ditch the pavement today and keep them safe inside with plenty water. Early morning or late night walks only!

Know the Signs of Heatstroke:

• Excessive or frantic panting
• Bright red or dark gums
• Heavy drooling or foaming at the mouth
• Wobbliness, confusion, or sudden collapse
• Vomiting or diarrhea

If your pet shows any of these signs, move them to shade, pour cool (never ice-cold) water over their body, and call your vet immediately.

Small pets, big responsibilities! Next week kicks off Rabbit Awareness Week, and we are on a mission to help our community's bunnies live their absolute best lives. This year's national theme is ‘Feeding Bunnies Better,’ but a healthy lifestyle also means staying safe from preventable diseases.

Rabbits need a quick annual vaccination to protect them from very serious viruses. Even indoor bunnies can catch these from insects or shoes.

A simple preventative jab gives you complete peace of mind.

🚩 Happy Beltane, Peebles! 🚩

The Beltane Festival is finally here, and everyone at Two Rivers Vets is wishing our wonderful community a fantastic, fun-filled week of celebrations!

We’re open as usual but please remember that there will be local road closures and disruptions in Peebles this week. Most closures happen during the early evenings, but we highly recommend checking the official Beltane schedule before you travel for your upcoming appointment.

Collie dog called Lass missing from near Lyne Kirk on A72. She's quite timid so if you spot her don't approach, but call the practice on 01721 722878 and we'll help get in touch with her worried owner.

Just a reminder folks - please don't leave your dog in your car during the summer. Even with the windows down a bit they are very likely to overheat when it's sunny - dogs can and do die in hot cars 🥵
