🦉 A throwback this with our feisty juvenile Little Owl who was hand-reared by our team this Summer. This photo was taken just before he was transferred to his release location - how beautiful was he!

🐭 We’ve admitted two more baby Hazel Dormice. These two youngsters were caught by a cat and very sadly their sibling did not survive the ordeal. The remaining two siblings have been doing really well in our care so far!

🦊 The beautiful female fox that we’ve been caring for has returned home! We’re so pleased that she made a full recovery after receiving treatment for a nasty abscess. Getting the wildlife we care for back where they belong is one of the best parts of our job!

❤️ If you’d like to support our work rehabilitating British wildlife, please consider buying much needed items off our Amazon wishlist. We are currently in need of blue roll, wet cat food, and 1ml syringes. All donations are very much appreciated by our team!

🐥 These two young Wood Pigeons were brought into HART after their nest was unfortunately disturbed and they were unable to be returned. Please remember that it is illegal to disturb an active birds nest under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981!

Pigeons and doves belong to the Columbidae family and breed all year round so they are a very common patient here at HART! These two youngsters will be hand-reared by our team until they are independent.

🐦 This group of Feral Pigeons came into HART for a variety of different reasons. They’ve all finished their treatments now and are on the final stage of rehabilitation which is time outside in one of our aviaries. This allows them to re-acclimatise to the outdoor weather and practice flying again prior to release.

💚 Please take a moment to nominate us for the Benefact Group Movement for Good Award so that we can be in with a chance of winning £5,000. The money would make a huge difference to the work we do rehabilitating wildlife and it only take a minute to nominate our charity!
